Link Steph gives doesn’t have those unit numbers, thats why I’m asking. It only says that a total of around 230 vehicles will be procured.

There is no official confirmation for the 112 each number available on the internet so far.
yes most sources dont tell numbers for each but we know the price 130 million and price that other countries buy it
-bahrain- 73 units - 74 million
-UaE - 700 units - 661 million
So i support that 112 number for 130 million .

As an Balkaner i am very surprised why some of you put balkan as powderkeg ?!
I know the past history but alot of changes happened . Today in balkans never can happen big war because here its not the same as in past .
-Fisrt we dont have weapons to fight for a week .
In 1990 Albania had 1000 tanks and millions of other weapons but USA order to scrap them and today albania just have some armored cars and 4 helicopters to fight 🤣🤦‍♂️ , i bet Mafia here has more weapons than albanian army . Same for macedonia , montenegro and bosnia.
- Aslo Serbia , croatia have lowertheir weapons , serbia just have 13000 soldiers 🤣 what can u do with that?
Your clock has keept at past and u need to update . The only way to start war here is to be financed massively by others US vs China/Russia with money and arms . here countries are small and weak .
Chance to start a war today in our world are 1 - Korea 2- Taivan 3- israel - 4-East Europe , 5- N Africa 6- meddle East etc etc
For CNN or BBC or Reuters and DeucheWelle there are not difference between Tank and Car with AK on top of it.
All of them are pseudo journalists, they only care who gave the money and they start to fabricate shits

Defense Budget Distribution - Turan Oğuz ( Exchange Rate of 21/10/23) :

Ministry of National Defense ( Land, Navy , Air Force ) - 440.496.000.000 TL / $15.740.994.613

General Directorate of Security ( Police Force) - 305.479.000.000 TL / $10.916.201.948

Gendarmerie General Command - 189.693.000.000 TL / $ 6.778.623.395

I was excited at first glance seeing the increase in defense budget but this distrubution ( if correct) has disappointed me . İs the budget for police force not overkill for our situation ? when a percantage of that could go to the armed forces to support the procurements we need and our struggling to fund/produce in large quantities ?. Take into consideration these are exchange rates of today and by the end of 2024 will futher decrease.

Authors Evaluation, Turan Oğuz -

'According to official data reported to NATO, Turkey spends approximately 25% of its defense budget on equipment purchases. In this case, the equipment
purchase budget allocated for defense is 3.470.000.000 USD (MSB, Turkish Armed Forces, Turkish Armed Forces, Turkish Armed Forces and Turkish Naval Forces).
included). Considering that we have major purchases ahead of us such as ships, helicopters, UAVs, modernization, etc., the budget
It is obvious that approximately 3.5 billion dollars will be quite insufficient unless external resource transfer is made.
In the Medium Term Program, the 2024 gross domestic product is targeted to be 1,119,000,000,000 USD. In this situation
Turkey's 2024 defense budget (13,880,000,000 USD) will correspond to approximately 1.24% of its GDP. This
rate will remain well below the 2% committed to NATO for 2024 unless external budgetary resources are transferred.'

The police force is a ridiculous number, add to that the budget for the religious affairs (Diyanet)...

The army and national education should have the highest budgets. Education includes universities and academic and scientific research.

Nurol Technology General Director Selim Baybas talked to AA about the recent purchase of the German Industriekeramik Hochrhein (IKH). He said:

"To be frank, the knowledge of the company we have acquired is much more advanced than us in this sense. Therefore, first of all, it will enable us to produce the products we produce much better, and it will also benefit us in producing new products by using unknown powders in areas we have never produced before. The field of electronics is something we do not know and are trying to learn and it is an area we want to expand in. The company we acquired also has important initiatives and projects in the field of electronic ceramics. There are important projects supported by the German government and institutes. We are very excited to be involved in these. It opens important doors for us and undoubtedly for our country's industry."

By this rate the Police should be turned into military soldiers.

Pretty ridiculous with the budget they are getting.

Once again proves to me the Government and the Military dont trust each other.

The Nigerian Navy's Offshore Patrol Ship, whose launching ceremony took place, will be equipped with ASELSAN 30 mm MUHAFIZ and 12.7 mm STAMP systems. Our systems, which will be used on ships built by DEARSAN Shipyard, will offer high effectiveness and deterrence to the Nigerian Navy.

Looks like there is a big chance for T-129 Atak export to Bangladesh. I decided to quote our brother @yf120 on this.

Just came across this, not sure if it's a repost...Is the writer just speculating or he got inside info somehow?

For several months Dhaka had been blowing hot and cold around the American combat helicopter. For a few days now the idea of seeing Bell AH-1Z Vipers flying under the Bangladeshi cockade has evaporated, even if this country is not giving up on buying between six and ten combat helicopters . Now the Italian industrialist Leonardo and its Turkish competitor TAI are much more visible . For purely geopolitical reasons, this Asian country refuses to call on Chinese and Russian helicopter manufacturers while Airbus Helicopters and its Tiger are out of reach on a financial level.

Honestly, the idea of selling this combat helicopter to the Bangladesh Army has always seemed quite risky to us. We remember the Bangladesh Air Force 's delays around the Rafale and then the EF-2000 Typhoon . And this did not really help to lend credibility to the Bangladeshi desire to buy between six and eight AH-1Z Vipers. Especially since these would then have been new helicopters and not second-hand machines acquired from the US Marines Corps . Turning our back on it for reasons of purchase cost does not mean that Bangladeshi generals are giving up on equipping themselves with a combat helicopter.

Because this is the main weakness of the air element of the Bangladesh Army : not having any means of ground attack. Only three of its five Mil Mi-17 Hip-H can possibly provide tactical support but in no case carry out decisive actions. Especially in such an option it is impossible for them to transport troops. The need for a combat helicopter therefore seems very real.

Since the Bell AH-1Z Viper is now out of the game and the Airbus Helicopters Tiger and Boeing AH-64E Guardian are also considered too expensive, there are not many options left for the Bangladeshis. In fact, the competition is tightening between two machines, one already operational and the other under development. The latter is the very ambitious Italian Leonardo AW.249 while the first is the Turkish TAI T129 ATAK . A T129 also having Italian origins since it derives directly from the Agusta A.129 Mangusta . The poor diplomatic relations between Dhaka and Beijing completely exclude the use of Chinese helicopter operators while international sanctions against Moscow following the invasion of Ukraine prohibit going to see Kamov and Mil. The risk of delivery delays for these two manufacturers is today far too high.

If local media are to be believed, the T129 ATAK could have its share with the Bangladesh Army Aviation. It also has another Turkish aeronautical production in its sights: the Baykar Bayraktar TB drone. 2. A state-state agreement would allow Ankara to sell drones and combat helicopters while gaining a new customer.

So to be continued.

Peru is interested in buying 30 8x8 APCs for a sum of 60 million USD in the first phase of a program aimed at procuring some 178 8x8 and 123 4x4 vehicles. Arma 8x8 was apparently army’s choice beating opponents from Serbia, Poland, China, Canada, Korea and Pars 8x8.

Looks like Otokar made a bid at 63 million, overshooting the 60m threshold but parties are still finalizing the deal.

We should hear about the final decision in the coming weeks or months. I’m loving this year’s Otokar movements so far.
