The article is written by a retired ship engineer. Who in short says that acquisition of submarines will take 10-12 year. That Denmark would be better of investing P8 initially.

Denmark retires and disbanded its submarine fleet decades ago. Pretty sad consider the Danish navy lost the art of submarine warfare with no crew regeneration at this point.

Yes, but now that mini subs of 500T may be making a breakthrough it would make sense to get some and tech level is much better today. I think a small country like Denmark should go versatile and multirole. Not saying the dedicated frigates we have are bad. They’re pretty good.

I agree with him. Go for P-8s while you train crews with say Dutch and Swedish.
