The new Iranian destroyer Deylaman has officially joined the Iranian Caspian Fleet. A new destroyer of the modified Moudge project was built to replace the frigate Damavand, which in 2018 hit rocks and broke in half. The Iranian corvette Deylaman, a destroyer according to Iran's classification, is now the most advanced ship of the Jamaran class series of ships, the ship's displacement is 1,500 tons. The destroyer's hull is built using low radar signature technology. The Deylaman destroyer is equipped with a modern all-round radar with an Eagle Eye phased array antenna, capable of detecting targets at a range of up to 200 kilometers. The ship was built according to a modified design and its exact characteristics are still unknown. The destroyer is equipped with a 76 mm Fajr-27 gun and Qadir cruise missiles with a range of 200 km. In the future, the ship will be equipped with a Nawab short-range air defense system and a Sayyad air defense system. The destroyer's helipad has an increased area. The Deylaman destroyer has four engines with four separate rows of shafts and propellers, which is necessary for greater mobility and maneuverability in the Caspian Sea. The ship can reach a maximum speed of 26 knots.
