I said it before, I'll say it again; I believe Mersin-Adana-Hatay-Gaziantep region has a lot of untapped potential. With correct infrastructure investments it can be a robust production center with sea access independent of Greek BS.
It is too close to a war zone.

The area also needs government incentives, as it doesn't have any industrial ecosystems to serve as incentives for foreign companies to build them.

I believe that Turkey needs some type federalism so that the economy isn't so centralised in the West.

There are several companies in Turkey working on entry-level cheap electric cars suitable for urban traffic, such as Reeder, Amperino, Very, Joyce. They are in close contact with local companies such as Aspilsan and Pomega for batteries. Cheap cars ranging from 200 thousand TL to 800 thousand TL will be released in the coming days with an 80% local content rate.

First of all,we need a high-speed railway network to the east part.

The central Government need to do this.

Öncelikle doğu kesimine hızlı tren hattının yapılması gerekiyor.

Bunu merkezi hükümetin yapması gerekiyor.
Unfortunately, high speed train projects are progressing very slowly and there are serious mistakes in the projects. The Ankara Izmir line and Ankara Bursa line have turned into an endless story and major mistakes were made on the Ankara Sivas line.

Federalism has not helped germany or the US to diversify economical development through every part of the country. Old east germany is still behind western parts and most box shape bordered american states are worthless sandbags to overall US economy.

The concept itself is a bit idyllic to begin with. Turkey has tried, very hard in fact, with the South Eastern Anatolia Project, billions down the drain with nothing to show for it.

Nevermind the fact that federalism is such a sore spot for Turkey with its separatist movements that it would immediately lead to a war. We already had a kurdish separatist party use government municipalities to aid themselves in the war effort in easten cities.
I think Federalism is for a big county like Ottoman or Russia

Turkey himself is a only a state of an never-existed Ottoman commonwealth or the future Turkic commonwealth

Just like England in British commonwealth. We cant divide TC himself.

German was a group of many small kingdoms. That s different.

Government's trying and failing to do this for more than 15 years at this point. It's not about needing to do it.

In other hand

If we use Federalism,I think istanbul will become much more richer and powerful then become like Seoul of Korea?

Ankara will decline without a big central government.

The railways must be privatized.

Not the way the Brits did, but the way the Japanese did. But it needs to be done nonetheless.

Privatizing railways in a country where rule of law doesn't exist will not benefit anyone. just like how you need different institutions and organizations for audit, control, oversight and such. The government has spent the last 15-20 years tearing all of that apart and centralizing the power on RTE thus our nations and the different institutions ability to react has been diminished to a fucked up degree.

Frankly speaking unfortunatly building rail roads can not magically start any bussiness or production activity neither opeaning a university to each city necessarily increases your scientific output or opening an airport to a place not necessarily causes it to be flooded by people.

Loool..... So does the government really think through what they're doing, when giving Chinese companies tax reductions and such.

Extremely important point I've learnt from first-hand experience as well. Please do listen for two minutes until the end of the segment on productivity, such a basic point which many do not understand.

Well that charts just prove you another two of the journals who 'licks the a#£' of a certain group and dares to include emniyet (police) within defense budget, to make it appear 'sufficient' while sanely, minister of finance looks for alternative ways to boost up SSDF.

At least they shouldn't have contradicted themselves for safe of being financed.

1. The swap deals are having an impact on this number
2. Shows you that the Turkish economy is resilient and makes you wonder how much of that hyperinflation could have been avoided
