Only transit?
As far as I read, Turkey will refine the oil inhouse and then resell it for a bigger profit margin
The decades-old agreement on the pipeline — which carries Iraqi crude to Turkiye’s Mediterranean export terminal of Ceyhan, a key outlet for regional oil shipments — had expired on Monday.

“While our efforts continue toward a new long-term agreement for this pipeline.. we have implemented this transit arrangement covering a daily capacity of 750,000 barrels,” Bayraktar wrote.

Zaidi said Iraqi and Turkish companies would begin implementing the agreement while the two governments would push ahead with efforts “to finalise a comprehensive framework agreement covering the oil, electricity, and water resources sectors”. The Kirkuk-Ceyhan pipeline has a maximum capacity of about 1.5 million barrels per day.

I think you mean the Kirkuk-Ceyhan pipeline.

Do we still have refineries to make profit?

By my knowledge Petkim belongs to Azerbaijan

As far as my info goes, they were planning to establish a joint venture with Saudi Aramco. It was supposed to be a move to give more credibility to the proposed SA-Jordan-Syria-Turkey pipeline and trade route

So this is indeed happening. 2 Istanbul bridges and 10 highways to be privatized for 30 years. These are all infrastructure that was paid and built by public funds and our taxes paid for their construction and operation for decades. Now we will be asked to pay exorbitantly increased fees to use them, when on the contrary they should be free to use. That is because the government is preparing for another election and they need nice hot cash they can get tomorrow instead of over the next decade.

France made the same mistake 20 years ago. Those private companies that are exploiting those highways are doing extraordinary profit.

Nevzat Aydın, who sold Yemeksepeti for $589 million, stated: "While the iPhone Duo has a starting price of $2,000 in America, its retail price in Turkey is 230,000 TL, which currently equals $4,740. I don't think there is such a 'state margin' anywhere else on Earth."

The government makes more profit than the company that designs, develops, produces, and sells the product with a profit margin. The current administration system is entirely focused on taking the money out of the citizen's pocket, turning this into its own economic model. This applies to all products from A to Z: cars, clothing, technology...

In Turkey, you buy 1 car for yourself and pay the price of 3 cars in taxes to the government.

Iphone will use chips made in Israel, so the future will be like no sales in Türkiye and possibly around the world.

This should happen at once. Imagine the world going to more and more conflicts which means wars and you want to prepare for that future. You want to increase your defence spending like 229% in the next 3 years. You want to take opportunity of the changes taking place in the economy and technology fields. You want to increase spending in technology and want to increase your technology self sufficiency of 82-83 % of today to 95+ %. It is a good time to make use of your assets when they can rake a good amount now and make your investments at once. In the process we can more likely than not move out of the middle income trap and be called rich once the plans are all implemented. Otherwise the budget deficit is already under 3% and you could do smaller things within a couple point increase in the deficit.

👏👏👏

Do you really think you can save the economy by selling national assets built with citizens' taxes? Which state institution sold so far has profited you? The most recent example is Türk Telekom. Unless you practice austerity, that incoming money just gets depleted by luxury government spending and inflation. For instance, what would happen if those official cars were black Meganes? How pathetic is it, really, that I am defending your taxes...Political fanaticism is just like sports fanaticism.. you tear yourself apart, chant, maybe buy a ticket with money you scrimped from your family, and at the end of the day, the footballer gets into his luxury Ferrari and goes to the club to sip his whiskey, while you end up waiting at a bus stop late at night to go home and have to wake up early the next morning for your minimum wage job.. 🤷‍♂️

That is a long term strategy, you can't achive results quickly. Companies seek young talent and once a person leaves a job it is highly unlikely to find a new one. We need to change our work culture and give eaqual opportunity to older people and people with irregular working capabilities.

The opposition prevented the Turk Telekom privatization and it costed Türkiye $15bn for selling late. Türkiye got backstabbed by the opposition and enemies of Türkiye were very happy. Small amounts coming from cars will not help with large investments. I won't respond to you anymore.

No, you need the hammer coming down fast.

Germany is far ahead of the curve, so is the rest of Europe. Paralyzing budget wise while It's literally consumption.

I've changed my mind - make it 70

You're right, that's also because of the opposition 👏
