I still think we need a jet like F16 a workhorse, but the past few years has shown us that drones and low cost tech in massive numbers is a problem. So if the take off price of workhorses like F16 could be reduced it might still be very useful.

Also I've said it once before, but we need 400-500+ combat jets in Türkiye. Including trainerjet

It is stated that the structural modernisation of Block 30 aircraft is targeted to be completed by the end of 2026. Work continues on the ÖZGÜR-2 program, which will be applied to Block 40 and 50 aircraft.

Block 30s will also receive Özgür-2.

Trying to understand why people have liked this. For God's sake, it is 5 years from now!! I thought Gökhan is a more evolved and liquid fuel powered ramjet than Gökbora, which is solid fuel based. Does this mean Gökhan will come even later?? In any case, this is bad news. If something going into serial production in 2031, they should not show case it in 2025 IDEF. This is more like selling dreams. I don't know who is managing these people. I hope at least the dual-pulse version of Gökdogan+ will be available soon.

Just abort the wings of gökdoğan at midsection,get more fuel,and add thrust vectoring,add aesa seeker,it would be modernized up to highest level.

According to aselsan avionic suite and fews suite for özgür project there is no infrared missile warning system so I am disappointed.Aselsan have got that sensor but do not put in özgür project.Addionally there is no electronic deyocs from ehsim as well.I guess F-16 block 30 electric power is not enough.

I'll only believe it when I see it, they've been talking big all last year.

That being said, I still think Hürkuş would make a great CAS plane for Jandarma Özel Harekat. It is easier to train pilots for it, with Roketsan's new mini cruise missile, UAV-230, Tolun, or extended range Umtas it would be a monstrous help in operations, especially if it can also take off from unprepared strips. It can attack from stand off range which is borderline unprecedented for this type of plane. And, it can help against drones like Shaheds with Eren, Sungur or Cirit pods.

I really don't like the livery. But one thing people are missing on this is the reg. 25-04. This aircraft was already incurred into service last year, probably as a preliminary registry, but still.

never Take Tusas at their word when its about delivery time/date. They will deliver but the date is the unknown parameter.

I stand corrected, they said 15 first, then 10 and then delivered fuck all. Even if those two were "delivered" find me where the other 8 to 13 planes are.

Now, they are saying 22 will be delivered in 2026, half of which is gone and they once again delivered nothing.
