The new Fattah hypersonic missile was presented today in Iran. The creators of the rocket claim that "Fattah" is capable of accelerating to 14 thousand kilometers per hour. The Fattah hypersonic missile has a range of 1400 km and is capable of penetrating all defensive shields. - said the commander of the Military Space Forces of the IRGC Amir-Ali Hajizade. As reported, the rocket is characterized by good maneuverability and increased accuracy. "Fattah" can maneuver in the atmosphere and out of it, remaining invisible to radar systems.

Seems more like a hybrid.

Detachable warhead has conventional control surfaces as well as secondary solid fuel motor with thrust vector control.

Should make it superior to conventional MaRVs. (For example, previous gen Haj qaseem or Kheibar shekan)

I definitely think it will still have a depressed ballistic trajectory like others. However, the secondary propulsion with TVC will allow it to do some 'radical' manoeuvre from far above (outside the atmosphere or high inside) where conventional control surfaces doesn't work due to lack of air/air density.

Even though gas thrusters on warheads allows similar manoeuvres but to a considerably limited extent compared to a big secondary motor with TVC. (Like the one on FATTAH)

No, I am serious. It seems to be innovative and unprecedented concept. (Afaik)
And from the video you can tell test firing with live warhead was successful.

Fattah is quite unusual as hypersonic weapons go because instead of using a lift-generating warhead to extend the range of in-atmosphere flight, it uses a rocket motor. Sort of like boost-glide-boost. Maybe this was necessary due to the relatively short range of the missile - 1400km vs IRBM and ICBM boosters used in most US/China/Russia hypersonics.

Iran has released footage of the launch and impact of the Fath hypersonic missile. The Iranian two-stage solid-propellant medium-range hypersonic ballistic missile "Fath" was developed by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and was first shown in 2023. The missile is capable of delivering a warhead weighing up to 450 kg to a range of up to 1,400 kilometers. The "Fath" high-precision missile, due to its second-stage solid fuel engine, is capable of maneuvering in the atmosphere and beyond at speeds of up to 18,000 km/h to overcome the air defense position areas of a potential enemy.
