Napoleon actually got his 💩 pushed in at Egypt. and then he lost the Siege of Acre and had to run away.
During all those he was sending news to the French mainland about how he was kicking arse in the Middle East.
Stolen many Egyptian cultural relics successfully.

Actually Ottomans only lost to the number of Russian.By their number,Russian Army even entered Paris and Belin.

And the weakness of us was the Navy.

Napoleon losing in Egypt and Haiti spelled the end of his ambitions for a global colonial empire.

Because of this he sold Louisiana to the USA this allowed him to fund his ambitions in Europe.

He carved out a European Empire until it came crashing down again.

French reverted back to taking scraps of whatever that can be colonised after losing their holdings in North America, Middle East and Europe. Hence why they took West Africa, Algeria and Vietnam.

Real problem was population. World war 1 the Turks number about 10 million. The Russians over a hundred million while the english and french are 40/50 million each. I think even in our relative backward state going into world one, had been just 20 million, let alone 40 or a 100 millions things would have been very different.

Also the Turks faced hundreds of years of coalitions which ultimately has the effect of grinding you down. Imagine if the Hapsburgs had to fight off a hundred Muslim coalitions, where not only the Ottomans came, but also the Safavids, Mughuls and countless others etc.

One thing you have to give the christians, they knew how to come as a gang, muslims on the other side never really gave to europe the way they gave it to the Ottomans.

One of the reason was Ottomans treat subjects too good.never try to assimilate them.
Compare to what the Christian (especially Spanish) done to Muslims and native American. They forced everyone to change religion or be wiped out.

Ottomans had 40 millions population in 1840s but only 7or 8 millions Türkçe speakers and loyalist.

Yeah Ottomans as far as empire goes were pretty kind, today they are hated for it. The Europeans would wipe entire continents out and replace it with their own people. The French would make their language and their religion the primary culture all over africa and anywhere they touched. Russians did the same, Spanish, Portuguese all did the same.

Meanwhile Ottomans even on tiny nothing islands like Rhodes in 400 years of rule, made no efforts to Turkify it.

Makes you wonder what the world would look like today if the Turks did the same thing across the entire euroasian landmass.

Honestly I read the 93 Harbi.

Lets be honest the Ottomans were fighting a losing war in the Balkans.

No chance they would beat a Coalition made of Orthodox Christian Countries led by Russia.

Even if the Ottomans won sooner or later they would have to give up most of the Balkans.

Our problem was not becoming a colonial.master in these lands.

Imposing Turkification and Islam we were perfectly fine with a diverse group of ethnic people and religions.

As long as they paid their taxes we were fine with it.

We allowed the Greeks, Jews and Armenians to send their kids abroad to study this where they got Western enlightenment and ideas of nationalism.

A lot of it was our doing.

Thats why we should have been a colonial master from day one.

This is mainly for all Turks and Muslims in general.

Now you see the White man become the master all we can do is bitch and whine about it.

This was the undoing of the Ottoman Empire and the Habsburg Empire.

They had so many religions and ethnic groups in One Empire.

They relied that religion would unite.

Ottomans saw themselves the representatives of an Islamic State while Austrians or Habsburgs in genwral saw themselves as a Catholic state.

When modern day nationalism and concept of a nation state came this is where shit hit the fan.

You had all these ethnic groups now asking for a independant country also asking to give them their long lost land.

Lets be honest the Ottoman Empire in no way was taken down by Greeks, Armenians or the Serbs.

It was taken down within and from hostile powers like the Russians and the British.

Ottomans usually crushed any kind of uprising by the Greeks, Arabs, Kurds, Bosniaks, Armenians or the Serbs.

Guess what most of these ethnic groups celebrate their independance day as if they beaten the Turks lmaooo

93 Harbi mainly won thanks to Russia but the Bulgarians believe they crushed the Turks LOL

But yeah they keep on believing their superiority while crying about the Turkish yoke.

What does this have to do with Turkish foreign policy. Well it does it shows who our neighbours are what they are.

Turkish foreign policy not just needs Soft power it needs more Hard power.

Turkish energy minister to visit Israel in near future.

To add to this, the call happened just before Netenyahu met with the South Cypriot PM. Israeli minister says the call was made in line with Bibi's office, so not another diplomatic fuckup like in Libya.

Netenyahu was set to visit Turkey before he underwent an operation last month and now there's no talk of it. Energy ministers to meet first to so they can pen something together? Bearer of good news or more haggling?

With whole Quran burnings in Sweden.

One was done by a Danish guy and the other was done by an Iraqi.

Nobody is mentioning this at all. None of the Swedes I mean Native Swedes are engaging in it.

Something that has to be mentioned.
TBH I'd prefer nobody had talked about it. This whole Quran burning saga was a low-effort distraction from the real reason Turkiye won't take Sweden into NATO, which is the proliferation of PKK/YPG/FETO inside Sweden.

Europeans are not religious, why should they care ? It's why bibles aren't burned. They wouldn't care. Even the Notre Dame burning in Paris - the cultural aspect was far, far more important than the religious

And quite frankly, they view turkey as a far away country like Pakistan always talking about Islam and Quran

A lot of the Islamophobia is actually perpatrated by their own communities a lot of Arabs, Turks, Pakistanis who have left Islam basically on a revenge quest against their own communities.

Lots of attacks were done by neo nazis and the far right we also forget lots of incidents done by the far left.

None of Muslim communities will ever mention their own communities who left Islam and doing the attacks rather than the European Far right.

I dont think this has any part in Turkish foreign policy as it is an internal problem in European countries itself.

Lets not forget a lot of the "Turkish" disapora played a role in the Armenian genocide being voted into parliament in a lot of countries.

Our communities are all gullible. We always vote for a Turkish candidate until they turn against us.

Turkiye is using the Quran burnings in Sweden to show to the Islamic World look we are rejecting Sweden's Nato application because Erdogan needs that image of him as a defender of faith for his voter base and his rockstar image.

Its all a grift we have to be honest here.

Also a lot of westerner leftist and white extremists wanted to create a Islam-christian hostility to help the communist china to erase the pressure.

Man, if only we had a word for that in Turkish literature... (!)

We get many Politicians of Turkish origin who beg for our votes.

Thankfully none of them have been Against Turkiye like the ones we see in Germany like Cem Ozdemir and other pieces of shit.

A lot of the politicians of Turkish origin are cursed in Europe I kid you not.

Find it dishonest how so many people are angry at native Swedes when its done a dane and an iraqi.

If Middle Easterners began burning Qurans you wont hear a peep from the various different ethnicities of the Muslim community because the stereotype is a European White Man who hates Islam burning the Quran.

Since its a brown guy I dont hear one peep at all.

In the report they note that they identified three networks that originated in Turkey and Iran targeting audiences in Turkey.
It also notes that “the people behind this activity operated a network of websites posing as independent news entities where they posted primarily in Turkish about news and current events in the Middle East region, including supportive commentary about Iran and Palestine; verbatim statements by Ayatollah Ali Khamenei; and critical commentary about Israel, the United States, the Turkish government and the Justice and Development Party (AKP).”
Such a misleading title. Basically Iran has created fake accounts which disseminate coordinated Turkish content to target Turkish audiences and propagandize them from Iran's POV while making it seem organically Turkish content by individual Turks.
