It makes no sense. Even if you were angered by other countries 'interfering with internal affairs' - you would simply ignore their requests.

Not only will this decision hurt the lira but it will create further distance between the needed investment from European companies.

What's the point? Either you will act in a proper manner and find some sort of solution for these problems, or you completely detach from any sort of relations with the EU. If you are going as far a banishing ambassadors how do you expect the EU to support investment, update trade agreement, change Turkish visa requirements, legitimately take into consideration Turkish rights in the East Med.........

Scandanavians and New Zealand.

Irrelevant countries who think they are something.
USA, Germany, France, Netherlands.

These are some of Turkey's largest trading partners.

And its not just about 'Scandinavian countries' its what they represent as an organisation.......EU.

This is pretty simple to explain and made an account to do this:

Erdogan did not expel Russia when they massacres Turkish troops, did not expel China when they began erasing Uyghurs.

He expelled these ambassadors because they asked Turkey to follow domestic and international laws regarding pre-trial detention.

This is because he needs an excuse for the economy tanking, because Turks are horribly susceptible to believing everything to be a western plot. So he's hoping the west responds, for the next news cycle.

If there's one thing Erdogan has done really well, it's utterly destroy domestic institutions to the point where civic society are unable to hold the government accountable.

The power of the political machinery he's entrenched is such that people just don't call the government out or protest any more. Otherwise jail.

The next party who come will have the same powers as erdogan to crush dissent, limit freedom of speech and allow the person at the centre to shape Turkey to his/her whims.

They will have to remove enormous amounts of people appointed by Erdogan and will likely just quickly replace them with supporters of the new government. In all likelihood this is the new civic norm.

Enjoy!

Erdogan’s time is over and he knows it well so this is why he acts crazier and crazier as time goes by. The economy is failing, Turkey is failing, people are unhappy and they all know who is responsible for it all- even AKP supporters know it even though they won’t ever admit that they are on the wrong side. Only thing left for them and the AKP mafia is to blame Westerners for the misery they created.

Who the hell cares about Osman Kavala... Foreign embassies and ambassadors make comments about different issues 100 times a day but because of Osman Kavala Erdo decided to kick them all out when for far worse attacks on Turkey by Russia for example he only goes to Moscow to suck Putin’s “ice cream cone” and talk about friendship.

ps Two more years and Erdo will be gone. If he doesn’t want to go in peace- they will all end up like Causescu and it will be well deserved.

China was never an enemy of Turkey, never was an enemy of Islam. The west was , is and always will be Turkey's enemy and threatens the very existence of the Turkish nation in the long run. Hopefully Turkish leaders can clearly see who is innocuous partner and even a potential friend and an ally , who is the implacable nemesis.

This is what we call stability, where every other week Turkey faces a new crisis.

Holy shit what a joke, Erdogan picking fights when Turkey cannot afford to pick fights, specially with literally its biggest economic partners, even countries such as UK which was working towards greater economic and military relations with Turkey since Brexit, but Erdogan is gonna throw it all away due to his emotional foreign policy.

I think we should expel the ambassadors after the Biden-Erdo talks and immediately start a big operation in north Syria. BTW reportedly all of the commanders of the Turkish-backed groups are in TR at the moment.

It is very possible and logical to be partners both with PRC and EU/USA.
USA and EU are real international partners with China. How much western direct investment in PRC?
I don't mind having good relations with PRC while i fully support western liberalism.

They are far from irrelevant countries. This is just an astoundingly stupid move on Erdogan's behalf. Who cares what ambassadors say? Tell them that no, we are not releasing Osman Kavala and there are good reasons for it. This feels like spur-of-the-moment idiocy which will bite Turkey in the ass in the future.

Justified move amd showing how truly idenpendent state works. After 2023 mentioned countries could rule the country if people choose that way, all will blossom into flowers when you start implementing one by one requests from embassies.
