If it was Kilicdaroglu we wouldnt last a week.
He wouldn't have rejected in the first place. Kılıçdaroğlu would have probably retreated from Syria and Libya, accepted YPG as a non-state actor, and asked Mediterranean and Sea of Islands issues to be put on ice which IMHO the US would have accepted and pressured Greeks not to bring those problems and put them on ice.

We can't keep justifying ak party incompetence by what we think someone else would have done. The reality is that neither side right now is fit to run a kebab house let alone Turkey.

Its shocking how politically incompetent Turkey is, how terrible its statesman are. But then again the government ends up reflecting its people. You tolerate trash, you end up with trash.

Erbakan would play this like a chess game. Checkmating Greece and Israel and playing Russia and the US against eachother.

Erbakan had more wisdom in his toe than Erdogan and his rivals combined. He was a real professor.

Necmettin Erbakan the Conquerer of Cyprus ('Kıbrıs Fatihi').

Because he was pragmatic something which we lack today.

It really is strange that Erdo is holding out well so far regarding Finland amd Sweden's bid to join NATO

Which is retarded at this point because both Finland and Sweden have expressed a willingness to work with Turkey and lifted arms embargoes. Sweden, OK, there are still issues to be ironed out but what's the deal with Finland? What else is Erdogan expecting to get out of them?

This is the kind of stuff that should be negotiated behind closed doors but Erdogan is doing it publicly to get attention and claim to Turkish voters "look, I'm getting stuff done" while further killing Turkey's diplomatic soft power.

Both countries havent dropped their arms embargoes, both sides have just verbally expressed willingess- which they dont follow trough. Its talk without movements with the false hopse that they wont have to change. These countries are pkk safe heavens and as long as both of them support the PKK they will not be allowed into NATO, this will be irrelevant of Erdogan, u cant just let countries join whoms defence minister celebrate the anniversary of the PKK, where former PKK become leading politicans and where the PKK has giant revenue streams and is doing freely propaganda, where the PKK is finding refugee.

Also this is something that increases Turkish soft power, killing soft power would mean letting countries that are pissing on ur face for decades join without facing the consequence of pissing on ur face lel

No it is not. Verbal promises mean nothing. The second Turkey lifts the veto and lets them in both Sweden and Finland will reenact the sanctions. The same goes for their support and shielding of terror organizations and its members. Sweden here being worse than Finland.

For the last few weeks Sweden has been in chaos because of the revelation how swedish foreign and security policy are in the hands of an "former" pkk member who has been bribed with hundreds of millions for the ypg/pkk by the current PM and her party to get her vote as the swedish parlament is in a deadlock and her vote is the deciding one in many cases. Just like last week when their was a no-confidence vote against the current PM and the votes were split 173-173. Guess whose vote saved the current government from being ousted? You guessed right the vote of a "former" pkk member who works more for the pkk in her position as a member of the swedish parlament than she does for the country she is sucking off. In return the current PM promised here even more money, well a bigger bribe.

Also in the next few weeks there will be elections in Sweden. The current terrorist has already been kicked out of her former party and in Sweden you can't run as an independent and even if she could other than idiot leftist and her fellow pkk affiliates nobody would vote for her. So she will be out of the picture and there will be possibly, well highly likely a completely new government in place.

It is better for Turkey to wait for the elections and then to deal with the new government. The terrorist will be out of the picture as will be the PM and her Defense Minister who is in love with the pkk.

This should also be our main focus. Why should we deal with a government that is about to expire? Maybe the next one has no interest in joining NATO?

Sweden's current Government is trying to weasle its way in by making empty verbal promises to Turkey hoping the NATO membership will boost their votershare and they can stay in power.

But after the revelations that have come a lot of swedes are actually enraged with what their government has done.
So like I said we should wait for the elections and then deal with the new Government, one that is not bound to the vote of a terrorist masquerading as a politician.

To the point of keeping it behind closed doors. I agree.

But there is also a good chance that the Government wanted to get ahead of the swedes and finns making our veto public and then smearing us with lies as the West loves to do. Let us not act as if they wouldn't have started their propaganda machines the second our people would have made our veto known behind closed doors. Especially the swedes. Even now some of them act as if Turkey hadn't warned them what would happen and we betrayed them (lol).

Finland clearly stated that they will never join NATO without Sweden

Erdo has no problem with Finland but they said they wont join alone but with Sweden in hand, as a sign of solidarity! In the end, it is just a roundabout method to place greater pressure on Erdogan

That is why I said he is surprisingly holding out well

Yo remember the promise and verbal commitment about keeping the ypg east of the emphases?

Words are worth less than a Marxist pkk drone mutilating his daughter's genitals because culture

In his article for the Washington Examiner, Rubin tells the story of Kissinger’s appeasement of Turkey prior and during the invasion of Cyprus in 1974.

“There is no American reason why the Turks should not have one-third of Cyprus,”Kissinger counseled President Gerald Ford, who had assumed the presidency just days before.

“The Turkish tactics are right—grab what they want and then negotiate on the basis of possession,” he added. Kissinger privately greenlighted the land grab in conversations with Turkish Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit.

From what I read most swedes support their gov actions towards protecting, hosting and funding the PKK, they believe its just an erdogan problem and fully sympathize with the PKK lel

The problem runs deeper and best is that this country never joins NATO, nah best would be in fact if we leave NATO ourselves but thats future talk, for now Sweden has no place in NATO, not in the near future, not in the distant future and best would be if götland gets annexed by the Russians where Türkiye for example could also support Russia.

I find the existence of this conversation suspect because Gerald Ford was sworn in on August 9 while the Cyprus operation began all the way back in July. By the time Gerald Ford was in office, the world was only a couple of days away from an official ceasefire. There would be no point in talking to him about it.
