There are no friends in politics, only common interests.

Or in the case of the UAE, trying to kiss up to their competitors to get a winning hand since while they have the money, they clearly don't have the brains to use it well.

Turkish foreign policy completely ignores public diplomacy. Here is another goal to our country:

According to Turkish sociologist Fatma Müge Göçek,[5][6][7] the speech "officially adopted as the official Turkish national narrative and became sacralized by the state". Göçek stated that, because the law criminalizes insulting Atatürk, Turkish historians have been unable to analyze the speech critically. She said: "It is evident that the text commences the birth of the Turkish nation with 1919, removing in the process the demise of the Armenians in 1915 through state violence to the realm of Republican prehistory."[8]

Historian Marc David Baer wrote:

The main themes of the speech—and of the official discourse on the Armenian genocide—are silence, denial of the genocide, general amnesia about past violence (unless presenting Turks as the real victims), identifying with the perpetrators, never questioning the great prophetic and infallible leader (Atatürk), and promoting the racial purification of the land in the face of a life-or-death Darwinian struggle with minorities.[9]
I dont know if the government just ignores due to being incapable or even likes Ataturk and foundation of our country being insulted at this point.

Yeah!
Things are tough in Tunisia. Tunisia' currency havent suffered at all during the pandemic and even prior to it. Apparently, the interests rates are too high that the currency is strong but the people cant find jobs because no investments in the country so no salaries so even that 1 tunisian dinar is like a dream to get every week. Surprisingly even some ppl who actually have money dont wanna invest them and say that since the interest rates are high, all what they will do is put their money in the bank and the profits rolls in without effort at all. One of the reasons why many countries and governments (even turkish ones) greatly oppose high interest rates

According to sources, Rn many would prefer to either invest in Turkey or Egypt as they are cheaper, less costly, and easier to export from!

The current Tunisian president wants to reduce interest rates, which will reduce the Tunisian currency, reduce their purchasing power, stimulate investments, create jobs for the future youths (something like Erdo) and get the economy rolling. However, cheap high quality goods (in great numbers) from Turkey are a bit of a detriment to that so they wanna reduce the trade volume or even add some customs to turkish products to increase their prices and reduce their sales

I did state the merits and demerits of both a strong and weak currency in the forum of Turkish Economy & Updates. You can also refer to that if you wish; though it isnt perfect, lool

Probably yes, considering his cooling of relations with all other arab states, and Qatar-UAE recent talks.
Anyway welcomed move, UAE has plenty of cash and big bussiness to cooperate with.

Not really
No new info about that
Sorry for disappointing
Though if you would allow me to say my thoughts on the issue, I personally dont think Egypt will agree to the maritime boundaries proposed by Turkey for two main reasons:
1- Egypt wanna sell its Gas to Europe! If either Turkey or Greece got their chunk of land either one of the two will have greater advantage in selling their gas to Europe due to their advantageous close proximity and LAND BOUNDARIES!; Thus, it would be beneficial to Egypt to just let Turkey and Greece either keep each other in check or just kill each other.
2- Egypt is not ready to lose France. Rn, France's democracy is in shambles; Emmanuel Macron is becoming even more autocratic day by day and El Sisi knows that he and any other autocrat will get along just fine. France has Weapons, political leverage worldwide and within the Eu, and above all has a permanent position in the UNITED NATIONS SECURITY COUNCIL which has its merits as well

IMO, Egypt will keep the deal that it signed with GREECE while befriending Turkey just to keep both parties in check!

Without Turkish agreement no pipes from egypt can make it to europe. Remember even half of Cyprus is Turkish land. The reason Turkey went to war in Libya was to stop egyptians and greeks from thinking they can bypass Turkey. They can't and won't. Greeks already tried similar games over Cyprus, the boats were chased away by the Turkish military and then Turkey herself started digging for gas and oil.

France means nothing to Turkey over this maritime issue. She wasnt able to stop Turkey in Libya or Syria.

man this is going to be funny

if RTE did it and shake the hand of someone he was insulting for last few years , he will literally lose the next election . shaking his hand will make it obvious to the turkish people that he lied about al sisi in order to get himself a political win .

Most voters have short memories. Still remember when they were promoting the PKK? If AK party can side with the PKK and it doesnt bother their supporters shaking the hands of sisi will be normal.

Nice bit on geopolitics of Turkey and Japan:

Japan is watching Turkey's advance into Africa closely, hoping to find ways for the two countries to combine their strengths and gain leverage. Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) opened a regional office in Istanbul last year, with a not-so discreet mandate to seek Turkish cooperation in Africa, countering Chinese influence.

"We will show more effort to further develop cooperation between Turkish and Japanese companies in Africa where Turkish companies already have a strong presence," said Suzuki Ryuta, the bank's Istanbul chief representative.

Steelmaker Tosyali Holding, which has a $650 million joint venture with Japanese steel giant Toyo Kohan in Turkey, is the largest Turkish investor in Africa.

In Angola, Tosyali signed an agreement with the government to redevelop the Cassinga mine in the country's south. Iron ore extracted from Cassinga will be exported via a terminal being developed by Toyota Tsusho and financed by JBIC and Nippon Export and Investment Insurance.

Turkey's Calik Energy, in which Japanese trading house Mitsubishi Corporation has a stake, has recently completed expanding a small hydropower plant in Malawi with financing from Japan International Cooperation Agency.
