I agree to most of the above. But we should‘nt need top tier military equipment to beat some tribal insurgents. Otherwise we risk ending up like America. Top modern weapons and equipment but no real land force because they are unwilling to fight. We should be ready to die not only to defend our motherland but also to gain influence, wealth, and strategic benefits elsewhere. This is what british empire did and what our ancestors did. No half done things please.

We certainly need to move away from half measures. Next war the Greeks start the entire island must return to the Turks, even parts of greece should be annexed. The people who attempted to murder us can leave for Russia. No more brotherhood nonsense, or giving them rights and land. That mindset brought incredible harm to not only the Turks but the wider Muslim world. Treat them the way europeans powers always treated their conquered subjects.

War with the greeks is a 100% certainty. It is only a matter of who will be the most prepared! Sadly, Turkey wont have a decent period of 10-20 years to prepare. I for one, think that the war will happen within the next 10 years max

That last line, in particular, explains a lot about how Erdogan operates tbh! Especially after the 2016 military coup

Erdogan doesnt wanna leave Syria, is entrenched in Libya, Somalia, and now Sudan not only to increase his influence but also because he realises that if he doesnt act now, then he will not only lose his throne, but will be hanged and highly likely Turkey will enter a gruesome period of civil war just like in Syria, Libya, and Sudan

Turkiye is not leaving at all. If they leave Syria, Libya, Somalia, Iraq and the Caucasus it makes Turkiye more vulnerable to attack.

South Cyprus cant do shit. Greeks basically sold out their piece of the island to the israelis, French, Americans and the British now they are inviting India. All to get back at the Turks.

Cyprus is the redline. Cyprus is more important to Turkiye than Syria, Libya, Somalia and Iraq.

Not to say Libya, Somalia and Syria are not important they are really important but Turkish Cyprus is the most important priority for Turkiye to keep.

Israelis are not talking about kicking Turkiye out of Sudan, Syria, Libya or Iraq they want them out of Cyprus. Thats all you need to know how important this place is.

This is primary threat to Egypt and to almost the same extent to Saudi Arabia. That's pretty obvious, just by looking at the map. Of course in grand scheme of the things, Turkey is threatened as well, but for Turkiye the primary threat is Greece, Cyprus and Israeli alliance and that Wahabi traitor in Damascus.
And for everyone who talks about Islamists, well I agree that they are in many ways problem but I am sure that those who hide behind " patriotism" ( in great deal of cases) , would tomorrow strike any sort of the deal with any enemy of Turkey. That's pretty clear.
Because, they pretend that the mere existence of Turkey as geographical , political, cultural and social entity isn't the main problem. Normal people under such threats, looking to make their society more cohesive and in any war , it is plebs that sacrifice the most. I was in a war so I know.
I remember a few years ago on this forum I was propagating Istanbul channel, people were against me. Mere look at the map and peek who is who and what's what, clearly shows the need for such a thing.
And that the opinion , plans , ambitions and hopes of others Vis a Vis Turkey are the same as they ever have been, words of Inonu ring the bell " We have bought the peace for hundred years".
Greeks, , Russians want Istanbul as much as they did 100 years ago, so do other Europeans. Nothing has ever changed in that regards. It has always been naturally important for Israelis to diminish Turkiye, after all anyone rational is after of the permanent, strong entity close by , even if they are " friendly" with such entity .
As of the Somalis? Well, f them.
Everything that Trump said about them is true and as we say in Bosnia " You can make burek out of anything but never out of shit"
In the politics and especially, if you have limited base, you only can invest into something that has at least a bit of value, whatever that value could be.

Ideology will always be secondary when it comes to geopolitics.

Its all about interests. You scratch my back I will scratch yours.

Azerbaijani MFA: Recognition of Somalia's 'Somaliland' region violates int'l law

Recognition of Somalia's "Somaliland" region violates international law, Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) said on recent developments in Somalia, as quoted by Report.
"The Republic of Azerbaijan reiterates its full support for the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia within its internationally recognized borders," the ministry said.
It noted that the recognition of the 'Somaliland' region of the Federal Republic of Somalia contradicts norms and principles of international law and the UN Charter.
"Azerbaijan has gone through its own painful experience with foreign military occupation and separatism in its territories, in violation of international law. Guided by these principles and its own experience, the Republic of Azerbaijan remains firmly committed to the preservation of sovereignty, territorial integrity, and political independence of all states, and calls on the international community to act responsibly and in full compliance with international law," reads the statement.:

TPAO has a goal to increase oil production to 500k barrels per day(approx. half of daily consumption) in 3 years. Lions' share will come from fracking operations in the Diyarbakır Raman basin.
