Can you discuss in detail and you have mentioned various company names please tell if their name came up in any news or media or how this plan will be implemented.

The first two frigates could be inducted into the Bangladesh Navy by 2026 if operations continue, and work on six frigates must be completed before 2030,
I am sorry, but first part is technically not possible. There is no provider that can immediately start production for BD Navy tomorrow, and that can deliver the 2 hulls by end of 2026 with the given configuration.
The person who has shared this information with you has literally no idea about naval ships' construction timeline and current status of book of orders at the rumored bidder.

Only way is a refit, however there is no hull that is retired soon with the given configuration.

Both of you read the first post in this thread to get some idea about the program.

Okay, Okay so you know there is a 'rumoured' bidder? Who is it?
Please do not outmanoeuvre the question this time.

I don't know that, the poster has indicated a bidder that fits either to Babcock (AH 140) or Fincantieri / DCNS (FREMM) design, and i have spoken on this basis.

Assuming that BD intends to get a western platform, these are the likely options for the configuration rumored by the poster.

At least 1 high ranking naval officer accompanied President Macron in this visit and it seems recently they are showing more interest in working with BN rather than BAF.Looking at the specs of our frigate program, naval groups FDI matches almost all the requirements except the unit cost.In the last few years, naval group has bagged major deals in many countries including India.

Do you guys think they can achieve the same level of success here in Bangladesh?

Absolutely zero, as @Isa Khan previously pointed out, at best Government will spend 400 millions per ship. ( Likely to be around 320-350 millions.) FDI cost approximately 800 millions.

Any chance our firms have made any offers to Bangladesh?

Yes, Turkish ambassador to Bangladesh formally confirmed it.

That's for OPV.

That is from the last year.

Question- You you think defence cooperation has come to the fore in relations between the two countries in recent years?

Answer- Definitely. We are participating in the bidding process of Bangladesh Navy projects, like frigate and petrol vessels of the Coast Guard. Turkish companies are ready to build those ships and vessels in Bangladesh with the involvement of Bangladeshi engineers and technicians for the Coast Guard in Khulna Shipyard and Chittagong Dry Dock for the Navy. We are bidding for both projects. We are also with the Air Force for various projects.
