I believe this is the third plane sold in Türkiye, the first one was bought by Selçuk Bayraktar and was displayed at Teknofest'25. But the news pieces say this is the first sales in Türkiye. Probably Selçuk Bayraktar's copy is not counted as sales.

Finally a promising step for general aviation in Türkiye; 13 air camps in 11 counties around Türkiye has be designated and more to come. These camps are meant to have the amenities aviators want to have. The promising bit in the news is that they want to spread air camps to the 922 boroughs around Türkiye.

A modern day take on such plane can yield a dream adventure transporter. Even local components can do this. Like an explorer yacht with wings.

Piaggio Aerospace has secured a new order for two P.180 Avanti EVO aircraft from a Turkish company, which will operate them in shuttle and ambulance configuration. The deal, announced at the NBAA-BACE - the business aviation airshow held in Las Vegas (NV) - confirms the continued appeal of the Avanti EVO’s unique combination of speed, efficiency, and operational flexibility.

The two aircraft, the first to be sold in Türkiye, will be configured to support both executive transport and air ambulance missions, reflecting the growing demand for multi-role platforms in regional aviation.

“This order reinforces the strong international positioning of the Avanti EVO,” said Giovanni Tomassini, Chief Executive Officer of Piaggio Aerospace. “Thanks to the full support of our new owner Baykar, we are building a new future for Piaggio Aerospace, and this contract is a tangible sign of the trust customers place in our aircraft and in our role in the business aviation market”.
