It was a flawless first flight, as if he had been flying for years. In the simulation, he says that it can take off from the TCG Anadolu comfortably loaded, while taking off from the aircraft carrier will be a piece of cake.Listen the Hurjet from the head engineer of Hürjet program
- They will develop a AC variant for current/future AC program
- Landing gears will be strengtened and a hook system will be integrated.
- It was tested that Hürjet is able to take-off from ski-jump while loaded with 4000/5000lb munitions on simulation environment.
- Hurjet will be able to perform joint operations with fighter drones and UCAV's.
Does anyone know why the speed and payload of the Hürjet is lower than HAL Tejas and Kai T-50?
Hurjet has larger fuel tanks then both which cuts into the payload capacity.Does anyone know why the speed and payload of the Hürjet is lower than HAL Tejas and Kai T-50?
I don't know but i have never seen taking off as an issue there, it is mostly about the landing which was always the challenging part in naval aviation. We need a training - test environment with digital twin of aircraft - ship - environmental conditions to practice design, avionics and pilots - automated landing software. It is upon shoulders of Havelsan to coordinate with respectable companies & institutes to enable this.It was tested that Hürjet is able to take-off from ski-jump while loaded with 4000/5000lb munitions on simulation environment.
Our priorities are different then, of course this may change in the future, if we want him to be more warlike...for now for trainingHurjet has larger fuel tanks then both which cuts into the payload capacity.
Lol ,no.All of the landing simulations of Baykar include (but are not limited to) sea state(that includes 3D movement roll, yaw, and pitch changes expected in that sea state), crosswinds, the friction coefficient of surfaces (includes the difference between wet and dry landing strip surface), the speed of the LHD, etc.
Baykar plans a naval KE with bigger canards to lower stall speed for a smoother landing.
We will see because I asked this directly to the Baykar don't be surprised if TB3 starts take-off and landing trials on LHD next year. They are also training their AI with those advanced simulations. Their plan is also to conduct the first trials with KE on TCG Anadolu in 2025.Lol ,no.
There are only few* people who can model the 3D motion of the ship in TR and none involves with Baykar, so far.
They only used translational motion (surge) of a fixed landing strip in their simulations, with wind conditions they applied from land-based statistics ignoring island wake of the ship.
*few = all i know personally.

Nope for the bold part, i am also in contact with several people from Baykar and i know everyone in TR who can simulate motion of a ship, and they tell otherwise for the ship motion and island wake, in fact they (team leader in Baykar) are telling they "aim" to initiate studies including motion of the ship and wake of the island within this year to train their auto pilot. We will see because I asked this directly to the Baykar don't be surprised if TB3 starts take-off and landing trials on LHD next year. I dont like it , Turkiye have many unmaned drones , hurjet should be turned in advanced CAS just like S korea Fa 50 .Ok after watching the interview, the one thing he said that was news to me was, that Hürjet will be eventually turned into an unmanned version too.
