Spain will begin receiving 30 HÜRJETs starting in 2028!

With the cooperation established, the details regarding the export of the HÜRJET Jet Trainer Aircraft have also been clarified.

It has been decided to procure up to 30 HÜRJETs to meet Spain’s need for jet trainer aircraft. The final sales contract is expected to be signed by the end of 2025. Deliveries of the HÜRJETs are planned to begin in 2028.

With this strategic step, TUSAŞ and Airbus aim to establish a strong and sustainable partnership in the European defense industry. The long-term strategic partnership between TUSAŞ and Airbus is seen as an important move not only for the HÜRJET project but also for deepening cooperation between the two countries in the defense and aviation sectors.

Interview with TAI CEO.

Signing of final agreement for export to Spain is expected in end of September or in October.
30+ Hürjets will be exported.
There will be three phases.
First phase is that TAI will build like 15-20 Hürjets without any changes to avionics (turkish avionics).
Second phase will be that the rest will be build with spanish avionics (i think he means too that the planes will be build in spain).
Last phase is that the previously build Hürjets, from the first phase, will get spanish avionics too.

At like 6:00 min

Could the Hürjet purchase be related to the second LHD/aircraft carrier with Spain ? I mean kinda like a trade for both countries
we don't know if that will happen but spain needs new trainers like we do what im wondering which aircraft they will put on their LHD?

Yea, but the trade is beneficial for both countries. While Spain gets their trainer jet and their own avionics later on. The fact that they will use and train with our avionics means we'll get international recognition. Plus Spain gets something in return like the LHD purchase. Both parties benefit greatly from this trade. Imo Turkey gainsmmore in the form of international recognition.

When Spain’s interest at Hürjet first came out, it was rumored that the sale would have involved a transfer of A400s destined for Spain to Turkey in exchange of 24 Hürjets.
I believe the new LHD is an independent project, at the moment anyways.
At any rate, the cooperation between two progressing quite well so far. Hope we further develop on this and get some joint projects on the line as well

But isn't it because KKK and HvKK aren't as good at planning executing as DzKK ? Also, government may have embargoed those two forces because of their off the shelf purchases for so long
