Spanish document mentions aircraft being built in Turkey and then being modified to Spanish needs, rather than different blocks having different equipment.

One thing I like is that 45 number probably means Spanish acroteam Patrulla Aguila will be returning with Hürjets. They were finally retired after 40 years last June. Original mentioned number was up to 55 aircraft.

In his statement on the matter, Fahrettin Öztürk stated, "We had submitted engine permit requests to the US Congress for both the HÜRJET and the KAAN. I mean most Muslim nations are from a technology perspective behind turkey there are some exceptions like Iran with its ballistic missiles program and that’s just because of the range of the missiles. Another would be Pakistan because of their nuclear weapons program but the moment we start our own nuclear weapons program we’ll get hit with sanctions.

If this announcement is being made by "TEI" chairman, then TEI is to produce these engines under licence. At least that will give good control over the engine supply.
