Some poor families can't afford good furniture and people can not fully enjoy their modern convenience, so the government decides to provide free furniture and home appliances to poor families for their new homes.

Government gives away " poverty alleviation sheep" to poor families every couples of years, in Xinjiang and also provides regularly trainings on how to better raise those sheep and make money from them to shake off poverty.

First time each poor family gets around 15 sheep, afterward they get couples of more pregnant sheep every a couple of years.

Almost all deeply impoverished villages are in or around the deserts, flood could be the last thing they have to worry about, but those regions are very earthquake prone, so all those houses were built with the standard of withstanding 8.5 degree earthquakes.

Well propaganda or not, its good to see that the region gets some support and the restauration of Kashgar looks impressive. Would like to visit it one day.

People better can see things from both sides, one sided narrative is never objective. You can't say with certainty that one side of the story must be the truth and the other side of the story must be fake and propaganda.

This thread is about XInjiang now is poverty free for the first time in the history, you can argue no, it isn't poverty free yet. but I can almost say with certainty that standard of living in XInjiang is markedly higher than all the neighoring central and south Asian countries and regions.

Almost every household in XInjiang owns a private car except for the very few living in very impoverished regions in the desert or deep in the mountains that this thread talks about , this alone can beat all Stan countries plus India.
