Historic sports agreement ‘useless’ between Morocco and Israel!!

Although they play on two different continents, and they are not united by continental or regional competitions or of any kind, the Royal Moroccan Basketball Federation announced that it had reached a cooperation agreement, which it described as “historic” with the Israeli Federation, in order to enhance “the role played by sports diplomacy.” She said.
The Royal Moroccan Federation issued a statement saying, “Within the framework of the Royal Moroccan Basketball Association’s openness to the international environment and the strengthening of the role played by sports diplomacy, the Royal Moroccan Basketball Association (FRMBB) and its counterpart the Israeli Basketball Association (IBBA) reached on Thursday, January 20 ( January 2022, to a historic cooperation agreement that includes all educational, health, sports and social fields related to basketball.
Rabat had announced the resumption of relations, and the signing of the tripartite joint declaration between Morocco, Israel and the United States, in December – December 2020, in which the administration of former President Donald Trump recognized the Kingdom’s sovereignty over Western Sahara.
Within one year, relations developed rapidly and included a visit, which was the first of its kind by Israeli Defense Minister, Benny Gantz, to Morocco, and the signing of a military and security agreement between the two sides.
