The A20 is a Tier IV British heavy tank. An early predecessor to the A22 Churchill, it features a similarly fast-firing gun, relatively strong frontal armor, and long side armor suitable for sidescraping.

A tank's tires wear out quickly when driving at high speeds in hot weather. Trials to find the most resilient tire for the T-34 tank began #OTD in 1942. Tires made from 120s rubber without cooling holes lasted for over 2000 km of travel with no damage. #tanks #history #WW2 #WWII

The VK 30.02 (M) was officially chosen as the chassis for a new tank destroyer confusingly called schweren Panzerjäger (Pz.Sfl.IVd) (8.8 cm L/71) #OTD in 1942. This vehicle is better known as the Jagdpanther. #tanks #history #WW2 #WWII
