The A20 is a Tier IV British heavy tank. An early predecessor to the A22 Churchill, it features a similarly fast-firing gun, relatively strong frontal armor, and long side armor suitable for sidescraping.

The VK 30.02 (M) was officially chosen as the chassis for a new tank destroyer confusingly called schweren Panzerjäger (Pz.Sfl.IVd) (8.8 cm L/71) #OTD in 1942. This vehicle is better known as the Jagdpanther. #tanks #history #WW2 #WWII

OTD in 1942 the KV-1S prototype completed mobility trials on pavement and moved off-road. The tank already showed a considerably higher speed and reliability than the overweight KV-1. #tanks #history #WW2 #WWII

A change was introduced into the design of the T-70 light tank #OTD in 1942. The exhaust pipes were moved from the side of the tank to the top of the engine deck. Heat shielding was later introduced to prevent tank riders from burning themselves on it. #tanks #history #WW2 #WWII
