ISLAMABAD: The Senate session was adjourned on Friday without transacting any business minutes after the chair disallowed a PTI lawmaker from raising the issue of
non-compliance with
Supreme Court orders on shifting former prime minister Imran Khan from Adiala jail to a private hospital in the federal capital.
Senator Manzoor Kakar was in the chair when Senator Mishal Khan Yousafzai sought to speak during the Question Hour.
Despite clear court directions, Imran Khan was not taken to Shifa International Hospital, Senator Yousafzai said, while regretting that he was taken to PIMS instead and rushed back to prison within a short span of time.
“If the government cannot implement the Supreme Court’s decision, we will not let the House run,” she declared.
