And every Indian goes there. There is even a Bangkok-Benares-Benares sector - it's called Paap-Prayaschit-Paap sector
Well Bangkok is quite famous 😁. But still nation to nation co operation with Thailand should be much more , they share many things with us

Peeps,

One need to see the statements of paki ministers off lately. Only reason I think about their eagerness for taliban recognition is the money matters...

We know all assets of previous Afghanistan govt are frozen. Atleast 8 or 9 Billion USD are lying in US Fed reserve. I now pak will say that that's afghan money et all but we all know the reality. The sudden spurt in smuggling of afghan heroin is another factor which suggest they are being squeezed to last drop.. Would u beleive Indian authorities caught almost 2.7 billion USD worth of heroine in a single raid...

Anyways, Pakis do not have many friends in international diaspora . .. And anything bad which happens is always shown as they themselves did it to show their bravado but we know the reality...

I see a financial crisis shortly in Pakistan... China tap is slowly going dry.. US / Saudi are least bothered... Specially Saudi, s till they have to do bird hunting... Their soft image have take a huge hit recently with increased terrorist activities... Imams are raising Taliban flags within 5 kms of Imran, s residence and openly flashing AK, s...

Let us see.. Imran khan always say "Aap nay Ghabrana nahin hai" but if i am PM.. I will be worried...

An anti-India dossier released by the Pakistan government that alleged mass killings in Jammu and Kashmir by Indian security forces, relied on false images of a burnt body.

Pakistan government that alleged mass killings in Jammu and Kashmir by Indian security forces, relied on false images of a burnt body.

The dossier was released by Pakistan’s National Security Advisor (NSA) Moeed Yusuf, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Human Rights Minister Shireen Mazari in Islamabad last week.

It alleged that on July 4, 2017 Indian forces killed a person named Jehangir Khanday at Bahmanoo Area of Pulwama. The dossier also suggested that Indian forces “possibly used chemical weapons” in this operation.

Graphic images of an unrecognizable charred body were included in the Pakistan government’s dossier to affirm the claim with the caption “charred body of Jehangir Khanday and Kifayat Ahmad”.

However, the same picture of the body was posted on multiple internet platforms, years before the 2017 encounter in Pulwama, as alleged in the dossier.

In 2011 (six years before the encounter in Kashmir), the unverified picture was posted on an internet forum where a user attributed it to the Turkish violence against the Kurds (warning: graphic images).

The picture was again posted in 2013 (four years before the encounter in Kashmir) on another internet forum with similar claims (warning: graphic images)

Even before that, in 2009 (eight years before the encounter in Kashmir), this picture was posted on another platform with unverified claims that the body belonged to an incident in Gaza (warning: graphic images), where white phosphorus bombs were used.

Several years and multiple internet forums later, the unverified picture managed to find its place in the official document posted on Pakistan’s foreign ministry.

Warning: graphic images below

The 153-page dossier did not mention that the slain individuals in the Bahmnoo encounter belonged to the terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahedeen.

The armed organisation has been outlawed and listed among Terrorist Organisations in the First Schedule under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act by the Indian government.

The outfit was designated as “Foreign Terrorist Organization” even by the US government. Its chief, Syed Salahuddin, who lives in Pakistan, has been listed as the Specially Designated Global Terrorists (SDGT) by the US government.

The webpage that hosted the Pakistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) is now inaccessible in India. However, official social media accounts of the Pakistan government, as well as its foreign missions, continue to post the links of the dossier.

Maybe by nationalistic Pakistani or liberal Pakistani, communists ???

Corruption is rampant as much I have observed , and lot of restrictions are enforced just to suppress news .

No one but the military can even dream of a coup in Pakistan, and they are sitting pretty after their recent soft coup success, so nothing will happen for a while.

Non recognition and working through non-official capacity only for any matters of mutual interest (this will be AFG driven rather than India driven given the relative scales of population and economy as it relates to who can ignore the other more).

Things like pitting the Taliban against itself even. It will all be done via the non-official route.

SAARC as lame-duck no-teeth grouping as it is, is still an official grouping regardless.

I dont think India will ever recognise the IEA and let Taliban come to it.

It will prefer to let SAARC become even more redundant and work on things like BBIN.

When South Korea has a neighbour it fought an existential war with (in % scales relative to population few outside really understand)...one of its own people in the end....yet has doggedly pursued complete non-recognition of the entity even with that closest cultural connection (and vice versa, being the main reason no peace has actually come into effect after the armstice for coming to 70 years now).

When that exists in the world between far closer populations of people in every which way.....it can be extrapolated to how relations with IEA also proceed in the global domain far more easily given the much lower investiture found within AFG.

Afghanistan will remain a shitshow, mostly by design, for quite a while yet.

Good for you , any comments @VCheng on this .

Imo , Bangladesh is a fast growing nation , Bhutan , Nepal and Maldives are not so significant ,but sri Lanka has a huge port , also it's coming out of it's financial distress .

And if Pakistan continue this type of behavior they maybe removed from it and that will mean strengthening of ties with India in alliance as these countries aren't part of any other alliance as per se.

And in context Pakistan per Capita income is same as 10 yr back ,so you have missed a whole decade of growth , still you think Pakistan is better off without regional allies

Pakistan is instinctively inclined to play the role of anything it can disrupt if it perceives any Indian benefit, rightly or wrongly. That approach is not likelt to change, no matter the cost or even logic.

From the infighting highlighted by @AlphaMike - it's more likely the Taliban regime will collapse internally before it gets international recognition.

There will be no further collapse, but warlords and factions and their variable groupings based on who is paying what to whom.

You nailed it! Pakistan is desperate to get the gravy train going again. They are likely to be frustrated in their efforts.

The Indian Army has captured a Pakistan infiltrator in the Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir and killed another. Army sources have said that a Pakistani terrorist has been captured in Uri.

The Pakistani terrorist who has been captured was part of a recent infiltration bid that was going on since September 18-19, said the sources.

Sources have said that the Army was able to establish contact with infiltrators at three different locations in the last two days. One Pakistan infiltrator is believed to be dead in the encounter so far while the Army is looking for the others.

Four soldiers have sustained bullet injuries during an exchange of fire between the Army and militants in the Uri sector along the Line of Control (LoC).

The Army launched a counter-infiltration operation along the LoC in Uri sector on Saturday after noticing suspicious movement.

"Four soldiers were injured in the exchange of firing with infiltrators from across the LoC in Uri," officials said. The infiltrators were challenged by the Indian Army soldiers, leading to a gunfight, they said.

Catching one alive is relatively rare though.

I am going to watch what happens now regarding this.

Sure, let's see what becomes of this, but not likely to be much, I suspect.

Usually these terrorists - are they from PoK (Mirpuris) or are they from Pakistan itself?

Punjab seems to provide bulk of them.

Mirpuris tend to shy away from it is what I have heard, they have better financial connections with UK relatives etc as % of population....so they dont fall as much prey to the usual types handling this stuff compared to larger swathes of population in punjab that is susceptible.

I mean punjab spawns movements like lashkar e jhangvi literally on its own people.

We know he is Pakistani because -

  • He was carrying Pakistan Passport
  • Was singing "Dil Dil Pakistan" when shot.
be it pakistani or someone from kashmir, they're all trained in pakistan. In fact, your lot on the green forum was boasting about how more proxies could be trained and pumped into our side ever since Taliban's take over of Afg
