Indian missiles and weapons systems are mostly derived from Sanskrit scriptures.
In Sanskrit, "Su" means good or auspicious and "Darshan" means vision translating Sudarshan to Auspicious Vision. As per ancient Hindu scriptures, one of Lord Vishnu's weapon is a Sudarshan Charkra and it must've something to do with it too

Oh Yes, you can guess the meanings from the similarity of pronunciations except for Tejas and prahaar. Lol, second one I thought meant mountain.

Good looking, handsome.... these are all meanings of Sudarsh from Sudarshan.

Sanskrit words (past the many contextual meanings in sanskrit they can have).... have regular meanings too through the use of Prakrits in the first place (and then how the Prakrits evolved with time themselves).

Semantic progression....as the vernacular in use is the living, evolving language.

It happens even more in Chinese (given phono-semantic characters and analytical language system that sets these in stone), there are old Chinese words in their original context .....having expanded today to larger set of meanings with time....or have completely changed from the original meaning(s)....or made the earliest meanings very archaic/poetic only.

Relax, it is the same word, and the same meaning.

However, Sudarshan as the name of Sri Krishna's weapon - one of his weapons - is distinct. Here it no longer means (literally) Su - good darshan - vision, sight , it is a proper noun.
