i wonder that how did the Turkish new small arms market working.

Are the factory need to apply to MKE for sell weapon every year?

seems Canik,Sarsilmaz,Tisas and Yavuz(Girsan) Stoeger always here but other pistol maker come and out.

I think most makers target exports market rather than Turkish domestic market.

OEM for US Company?

Pistol seems Mainly only Canik much introduced in US,then tisas1911 girsan and some Sarsilmaz,others hard to find.

Hunting gun much more.

by now their full metal pistols designs are too old.

SFx RIVAL-S s good but too heavy and big.

There is no need in the market for metal framed, striker fired compact pistols.

Some people prefer metal frame for heavier weight for good balance and less recoil. So main reason is better accuracy.

I think Turks prefer metal frame because we love to kaplama and GRAVÜR İŞLEME the metal frame

As we almost can only buy a pistol we would like to make our pistol goodlooking and long maintaining.

That s different with American,they can buy several of them.

Turkish civil market is too weak thanks to taxes and strict law. ( that's why in Türkiye , illegal converted blank pistols- which are rubbish -are more expensive than real handguns )

Any Turkish company would invest in domestic demand.
How many could they sell if they produced metal framed striker fired?
Moreover Our people buy just steel clones of BHP and CZ 75.

All Turkish production lines are bound to US civil market.

In Australia our laws are pretty strict. While in Turkiye many seem to have guns especially in the Karadeniz region and the East.

Is Gun control enforced or is it lax?

A quick reloading shotgun from Turkiye was actually coming to Australia but Australian government did not allowed it to be sold in the country because it counts as rapid fire. To them rapid fire is either semi auto or full auto.

In Türkiye, they should allow ownership of up to 7 pistols by one person like they do with shotguns, they just need to require to have gun safes to keep them safely. This number of guns will satisfy most people. On the other hand, if you want to be a gun reviewer or influencer they can probably make such occupational unlimited gun waivers and this kind of people will remain in dozens and not hundreds. Also, they can probably allow shooting range operators to have some rifles to train enthusiasts. These measures will probably solve all gun gripes of civilians.

In my opinion
That is gun control for good civilians but no for bad guys
Same as any other laws in Turkey

I spent many time and money to get one but some stupid guy had illegal gun easily

Canik is almost total changed to polymer frame TP9 and mete series (besides that canik sfx rival s I mentioned) so I don’t think it should do.
For SARSILMAZ they still have a very large part of metal frame K2/K2000/P8L(compare to the polymer version B6)They should do a metal frame version of SAR9

CANIK METE SF is very good but personelly i dont like this part.

But if i can buy a second tabanca i will buy a Canik rival-s
