It's 26 April document. Far from this hingar-bingar 1700 trillion mega debt and Rafale-Fremm hype.
I hope it can be materialized soon, this is very important part of AU force multiplier build
GMF and possibly Pelita
I have more confidence in them compare to PTDI
If by any chance Gripen being chosen, how many fighter are MoD gonna purchase?
Not going to happen, main reason is the range...F16 with CFT is a better choice. With only 1 air tanker in operation, fighter range capability become significanly important.

wouldn't such decision disrupt our IFX program?
Can't you see there's a lot of LM's genetic inside of KF-21?

If we ask to LM a similar program such as F-21, we're not just finding solution to LM's die-hard sales offers to us for F16V , but also can bridging it to open up some sensitive technologies in KF-21 (which currently prohibited for us).

For large amount of sales opportunity, we must aiming high for offset . Thus, LM should lure us with kind of special offset. The keyword is "Massive Buying" from our side, then the magic will come. Let say 70 F-21 in minimum.

By this,
For our side:
1. We can ask for ToT (design capability, production license) of F-16V aka F-21, making this a stepping stone to into 4+, 4.5, and even 5 generation fighter jet technology.
2. We can bargain to have access into some key technologies inside KF-21.
3. We will fully develop our IFX in Indonesia's soil with LM's assistance and not just depends on our Korean's counterpart.
4. We could also get the chance to have LM's genetic Trainer Jet for F-21 and KF-21 : T -50 by production license.
5. So many commonality / interchangeability in spare parts and technologies between Indonesia's existing F-16 fleet, F-21, KF-21, T-50. A logistic nightmare and MRO program within the country could be solved.

For LM side :
1. F-16V huge sales ambition to Indonesia is solved.
2. A large LM's ecosystem of fighter jet in Indonesia as well as in the region will be created. Give LM's very strong presence in South East Asia.
3. LM and US will gain strong hold to compete with European's fighter jet in the future.

For Korean side :
1. Secure a significant acquisition of KF-21 IFX by Indonesia.
2. Long term co-development of KF-21 in the future ( as the LM may granted access to key technologies).
3. Will have much more solid partnership in selling KF-21 together to the world. By far, it's only us as their partner and buyer in this KF-21 program. The one and only.
4. T-50 sale's opportunity by production license.

It is very seldom we get something that we have ( Old F-16 and the infrastructure facilities) and something that we knew ( F-16 technological expertise in MRO) all together in brand-new fighter jet acquisition program. The F-21 program is the one.

This the game that we can win, this what we call a "Win-Win Solution" ( and everybody happy )

Whooaaaah....did I fell asleep? feels like I have a nice dream just now

Halcon Skynight is based off Denel Cheetah but larger.

Designers are former Denel employees from South Africa but working in the UAE. Rheinmetall owns some of the IP.
Well if you watch the videos you'll learn that the radar detection range is 50 km, missile range is 6 km, and gun range about 3 km. It can launch 5 missiles per second

I believe the Turkish door for cooperation is still open for Indonesia after the disappointing window shopping of the last decade. If Indonesia invests in partnerships with various Turkish aerospace projects, they will have a very modern and advanced airforce starting in 2025 and completed by 2035 with various (attack) helicopters, UCAV's and supersonic jets (partially) produced under license.

The risks are there of course, such as novelty and non-proven designs from a relative newcomer, but what Turkey has achieved in the last 2 decades should be enough proof that the Turks are worth their salt.

Both nations are rising economic and industrial powers with lots of cultural similarities with no possibility of geopolitical conflict, so cooperation seems natural. But Indonesia has to make the first step.

I would love to be proven wrong, but Lockheed Martin will always be against our efforts to develop in-house fighter production capability. It's simply less money for them.

Indonesia government has their own worrying aspect which is lack of commitment to what we already started and doing. The other thing is question about gun or butler (beras in our case), there is many Cases which i can piled into pages

Unfortunately a very missed opportunity then. Are there any Indonesian politicians that are willing to invest in a possible Turkish-Indonesian military cooperation?

Some offers at great extends were made, not just to profit over those by selling some stuff but to broaden the cooperation.
Unfortunately it has failed 3 times at least (the ones i personally know and can count), at least one of them ended in a very sad, unethical way that the Turkish company now is even avoiding such a collaboration

Indeed, a very missed opportunity. Turkey is one great choice to do this.

It's been a general notion in Indonesia for decades, that big military companies from advanced countries just bribe the decision makers and politicians for Indonesia to buy something from them. Only few actually care and want to develop our military industry capability. The companies sales representatives always build their own narratives to fool the public to not pursuing this.

If we are so small minded we would like to abandon T50 project, KFX in the first place or not commited in the F 2 projects

You already know what we are lacking and that's why we are in difficulty to developing our whole industrial ecosystem. There is need to reform especially our whole society mentality.

South Korea or Turkey is decent partner i believe, but they are wrong to find us in the first place.

They have a 250km range coastal anti ship missile program under development that could be attractive to Indonesia considering the recent increase in defense relations.

The company Halcon has many projects under development, and is in my opinion on track to be a Denel Dynamics type company within the next 5-10 years.

I am quite hopeful with the new team of MoD, the delegation is definitely more professional from the previous one and by time i hope to hear more regarding to the cooperation.

Changing society takes time, at least 2 generations we are speaking here.
Better to start with funding universities better and follow, attract them into some matters of arms industry, scientists tend to be less corrupted and it is easier to detect if a researcher becomes inexpicably rich.

I believe it's this one?

UAE is really serious in developing their defense industry. But really, everybody should just hire Hollywood badass action star to promote their military products like UAE hired Steven Seagal

Hope MoD includes this in the partnership as well:
