I dont think A330 MRTT will be sacrificed,

I think i must make clear what "sacrifice" i mention before.

It's not like we will totally abandon it but come into my consideration if A330 MRTT will be delayed and bugdet allocation will be slashed.

If there's no urges to purchase new plane, perhaps converting en existing A330 in SOE fleet will be short of way out. Perhaps we can get MRTT in this way through budget cut.


Anyway, i'm comfort to say no MRTT in near future.

In early 2022, there will be Singapore Airshow, we can see clearer of what will happen through out 2022 from that single event.

Looking at our budget and geopolitic right now, yeah... Vipers.

Budget and geopolitic-wise, I'd argue that Superhornets block III is much better option than Vipers :

- Cheaper
- AESA already
- it's basically navy fighters, perfect for our archipelago especially if we want to use them around Natuna sea.
- probe refuelling ability
- A400M friendly.

Anyway, the Germans also decided to pair Superhornet block III with Eurofighters T4.

Ironically, this leased planes what make Garuda crumble in financial crysis.

from that single event.

I put my hope there will be a deal (but what plane in list does 🇮🇩 want to purchase?) , also is it any possibility for KFX to show there ? Well since you is the one have so many news with Plane.

And for EF somehow in the near future there will be quite a number of seken plane available, we can quickly increase jet fighter number with this, we can upgrade it or keep it as is and mainly use it for intercept duty.

While I don't think that there will be decent number of seken Rafale.

Both are good candidate with their own pros and cons, and for Gripen... I am not really interested with the plane but if they offer interesting ToT then I can reconsider.

Not trache 1, they're a dead end.

Well, we're much more familiar with F16 and if we get the Eagle 2, Viper block 70 use the same F110 engine so.....
the Eagle II just like its predecessor could pretty much uses the F100 (used in our F-16s), any Eagle II sold to us should be equipped with the more powerful F-100 PW 229 variant (129kN) so does if we ended up choosing the Vipers.

There is no confirmation whether PTDI will participate, but usually PTDI always participate. I dont know about that, but when PTDI appeared in Turkish Tech event 2021, KFX/IFX is part of PTDI products that is showcased.

PTDI also provide engineering service (design, system integration, etc) to UAE, but I dont know the detail

It's F100-229, not really the same engine like ours.

Even USAF choose F110 because it already certified for EX eventhough all their eagles use PW at that point.

If we want f100 for our Eagle 2, we have to pay more. It's much cheaper and faster to just take F110.

Dont know why but i am bit of fans of those super hornet
