Anyway, any details about weapon package we purchase for Rafale?
Meteor, Hammer and SCALP included?
No idea on what weapons package but iirc based from a post here according to Dassault official the Rafale variant Indonesia is getting is the F4.
No Scalp yet huh?
What we got for Rafale: Mica (both variant), Meteor, Exocet.
Well for now that KHAN is enough for deterrent. Be grateful with what you got, I guess 😒

What's wrong with original Hisar radar?
But well whatever...
Hisar battery uses Kalkan-II radar as 3D search - track radar, and nothing is wrong. It has been in use for quite a long time. also uses dedicated Fire control radar (AKR-Block A2) to precisely track the target with E/O and radar combo.

Siper battery uses EIRS / ÇFAKR radars, respectively S and X bands, nothing is wrong again, EIRS has been tested at least for a decade first within CAFRAD program and then T-EIRS program. ÇFAKR, however is new and undergoing tests.

Both are available as key-turn systems, but EA is selected as the main contractor of the project as it seems. And Czechia provides the credit.

Retia also provide AURI GCI radar

India bought SCALP right?
Yeah.
Does Scalp still using US components now?
Does US okay with us having cruise missile capability?
If yes, we actually could give them some pressure with that Eagle procurement.

...or maybe we just don't have enough money yet.

Clearing the mess;
Acc. to @SavunmaSanayiST.com ;

The missiles are not Hisar-O/U but whole new missiles for medium and long range that will be developed specially for Indonesia, by Roketsan.
The missiles will have RF seeker. Likely datalink and seekers will be provided by Retia (not sure if they are capable of that?) . Makes a lot of sense with this way. A Whole new missile, neither Hisar nor Siper.

Not completely new but modifications?

Possible to be based on expertise of Hisar-RF or Siper-Block-0/1 that we mentioned in Turkish air defense programs thread. Thus could be entirely new.

What are the requirements of Indonesian Air Force in this regard? Such as, are they requiring a dual-pulse motor, or certain reaction time at a distance after launched,cold launch instead of hot launch, a certain altitude and remaining kinetic capability at a certain distance?

If these parameters are close to Hisar / Siper then it will be modifications, if not then the missile will be made from scratch tailored to needs.

anyway, due to the influx of defense cooperation between RI and TR, I would love to see this integrated into our F-16s.

@Anmdt @Cabatli_TR , does our F-16 need some large tweaking to accomodate one ?

As i recall, no. The missile (SOM-A/B) is recognized as an existing cruise missile of US' weapon identification system and the information passed onto missile and interpreted as supposed to be, prior to launch.

However, for SOM - C and J, there is a two way data-link allowing man in the loop or target update, thus a pod may be required (or further modification to install the data-link and integrate it to consoles)

But i don't know it well, @Cabatli_TR ,@Nutuk might tell more.
