The company must have very deep pocket to develop it. Where’s the funding from? Even established defense companies like LM or Boeing received money from the government to developed JSF (X-35 and X-32) before.

Just from selling Bayraktar? I can’t even find who is the investor if the funding from investor(s).

Even when you see they (Baykar) are reek of collusion and nepotism , as long as they are very capable , always get profit , professional in management and can reach their own objective , why not to give more support? On other hand look at Indonesian SOE, not only not productive, always need fund injection for every planning and till now they even can't have decent Action planning and vision for their own company future

What the hell with fourth generation transformation, when your assembly line Machinery and management system is leftover of cold war era

They just can put that to IPO for sure, how much people want to get their stock? I’m sure tons of people, but that would require them to be transparent, this one thing that made me little bit more skeptical about it. Even start-up that not yet IPO more transparent about their funding, even though they have In-Q-Tel put their money to the company.

What you expect from companies that its board of directors become kind of like political positions rather than those with responsibility in mind to make those who put money reap the benefits which also means they gonna do anything to make sure their money well spend. The mentality just from there already different. It’s okay to make it ‘political position’, but at least work well duh, not just sit there and doing nothing as it seems. The companies seems on autopilot.

Even start to thinking, “why not just make them a cooperative (koperasi), like a real cooperative that the companies belong to the workers?”, why? So each workers itself felt responsible to make sure their companies run good for their own survival, kick those mismanaged it. We’re talking about Mondragon scale if we talking about domestic defense SOE tho.

Part of it coming from Qatari investment. Turkey - Qatar has rock solid partnership on every aspect.

Its not true, Baykar itself made more than 1 billion$ export in 2022 alone just selling tb2, they also plan to sell 500 tb2 in 2023 which means 2.5 billion export alone.
on the other hand they took government loan 500 million$ in 2020 to build production facilities in Turkey to push the export.
its good to do little google before conspiracy theories ;)

And to add salt to the pain for most Indonesian here, Baykar technology is actually private enterprise and now still rank around middle Among Turkish defense industry

Actually I did

“…In 2014, Erdogan helped Qatar broker a $300 million deal to acquire a 49.9 percent stake in BMC…”

“…due to a dispute over the sharing of intellectual property and the involvement of a Qatari-Turkish company,” 101 namely BMC.102 Turkey has since commissioned TRMotor, which is owned by SSTEK A.S., which itself is owned by Turkey’s defense procurement agency, the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB), to develop an auxiliary power unit and air turbine start system that may eventually be part of an indigenous engine…”

More 4x4 military vehicle to the list

I have read a military magazine that's showed various Indonesian 4x4 vehicle. The number has been quite numerous. I wonder if this vehicle can enter serial production.

In terms of dimension, it is no different than Pindad Komodo APC.

What we lack now is MRAP.

Its has nothing to do with Baykar, also Qatar purchased BMC 49% which is going to make Altay Tank, the whole reason of purchase is Qatar ordered their products and also plan to order Altay Tank. However, google and others mix it with BmC power that is a different company that make engine. (Turkey is really bad with names as you can see different products with the same name. So that messed up everthing and created conspiracy theories. But in reality its belong to Turkish government. Do you really belive Turkey will create a Turbofan engine and sell the company for Qatar? )

when pak harto wants to buy sukhoi, they dont have model that have IFR, A2A n A2G capabilities, but single seat..

the must have requirement from AU was IFR, and dual seat version available is only for training..

so russian make up the model and named it Su-30KI.. this is independent of later Su-30 model development..

IIRC the "real" Su-30 is developed from that request and seeing market for multirole requirement like F-15E

so its not exactly tipu-tipu.. its just what we want and what they have are not exactly matched
