32 should be enough. Our standard is 16 per squadron anyway
maybe what is reduced by the number of spare parts in DSCA is not the number of the planes.
Example : F-15ID aircraft; eighty-seven (87)
F110-GE-129 or F100-PW-229 engines (72 installed, 15 spares) may become F110-GE-129 or F100-PW-229 engines (72 installed, 5 spares) to reduce the total acquisition price

Nope, I havent seen any lights/hilal from financial perspective for this project. I think the main issue would be if they are willing to do it like Rafale contract model that can only be activated according to yearly avaiable budget. They wanted certainty which our own fiscal system can't provide atm. Unless they can come out with win-win solution this year I dont see us signing any eagle next year. As for next year PLN I guess navy "lontong" might appear as one of the main course with fremm as a dessert 😁 , the appetizer more likely another green/brown water assets made locally with additional refurbishment of old assets.

But hey at least IFX already got its footing in this year and next year budget (y) 😁, we just cant have it all at the end...

Indonesia's plan to buy 12 used fighter jets from Qatar enters the negotiation stage

Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto's spokesperson, Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak said the plan to purchase a dozen Mirages was still in the negotiation process.

"We are in the process of negotiating," said Dahnil via text message to Kompas.com, Thursday (17/11/2022) afternoon.

However, he ensured that no decision has been made on the Mirage purchase. "No decision has been made yet," he added.

because they're the one who compete
i mean one is medium sam, and another one is projected to be Korean THAAD. Well if they aim for BMD it is wise to choose KMSAM block ii.

So after Trisula they aimed another type, they surely do like gado gado.

Can't do, better to use high performance supersonic missiles, with on jammer within like HARM. The France itself more or less would take on E/A 18 G Growler as modern template of SEAD/DEAD platform hence long time till 2030 to develop Rafale variant into such roles.

Btw for the current complex situation, i hope there is exist in near future UAV used as dedicated SEAD/DEAD platform as they are mostly would be at the Brunt of threatening combat situation

Such platform in which had A6 intruder or E/A18 Growler capability, combined with long time loitering time, capable to perform anti radiation strike and have stand off jammer system along with other electronic warfare stuff in

Agree, we should use drones instead of our limited fighter for SEAD/DEAD.

Btw, is Turkey currently developing any ARM? @Anmdt

Yes, named Akbaba (Vulture) and mentioned several times in this thread:

However, little is known about the project despite of going on for several years. Recently it was revealed to be a ramjet missile.
