My guess they would also Pursue another hot transfer of Mirage 2000 from Emirates as the fund more or less likely had been provided, with close relationship between MoD and Presiden along with their Emirates counterpart it would smoothing most of the hurdle, i am expecting the deal soon would be happened at least before the year end or maybe already happened as i am writing right now. I am not expecting much in number but between 12 to 24 is also very likely.

Two years effective contract the deal would be concluded, now the contract have been effective. There is also fund to upgrade and overhaulled the current Aircraft fleets, including Su27/30, Hawk 109/209 and F-16 C/D. F15 is still in the process, Rafale would came in 2026, so they need hot transfer to alleviated the lack of airframe.

Now its official, Mirage 2000 will come to Indonesia.

There would be one fighter squadron in Papua, right now they are home base for CN235 Aircraft and the Air Force is steadily reinforced them with more personel and assets including air defense units.

In Kalimantan there would be another fighter squadron and would be placed near future capital city, most likely they would put the most advanced Air Superiority Fighter there.

In Nusa Tenggara Timur, there would be fighter squadron this planning has been on the table for long long time.
