their sabrah yet to make an appearance...

we were lost because belgium turret and cannon isn't it ?
yes Philippines get sanctioned by Belgium, the Cockerill is made by Belgium. If at that time the turret is not cockerill maybe Kaplan MT has change in there. Like if Turks develop their own gun and turret etc

Could be:
1. The platform - not yet operational only prototype, while the other contender is already used albeit not in Medium Tank configuration.
2. Turret issue - (Sanction towards Philippines) MaxDefense reported that there is some issue if using belgian turret, caused by the ongoing war on drug.
3. Elbit system offers is more interesting for Philippines because they offer tracked and wheeled solution in a single package.
4. Prices?
5. ???

For example is Philippines medium tank acquisition, Indonesia tried to compete but lost.

FNSS has already made a submission for that, CEO's earlier interview makes it clear they have attempted to get the PH's medium tank.

I doubt if Pindad has made a offer independently too, it was rather a joint-bid since considering the fact that while Philippines were in RFI stage Pindad was merely (and possibly not) capable of assembling the tank and PH was expecting the tanks by 2024 or earlier if the contract signed earlier.

hey were lost because belgium turret and cannon isn't it ?
Although there was no sanctions and i guess FNSS has double-checked it before submitting. But could be one of the reasons to avoid future sanctions.

What if FNSS has also made an offer with 8x8 complementing the Medium tank?

Yes IIRC Turkey also joined the bid (not sure about the details - is it for the tracked or wheeled deal or both).

There is also Korea.

what exactly tank with APS in Russian service nowadays that knocked by top attack ?

AFAIK, all destroyed tank have no such APS.
Indonesian army should considering to use Israel APS
5 axis large cnc machine can cost multi millions dollar😔
I doubt pt pindad can afford it.

PT Pindad can afford it, they can Made proposal for expansion of assembly line to the government owned bank to finance their costs this as long as there is long term support order to backing up such loan from our government.

I don't think it's gonna work for atgm like NLAW (not flying directly to vehicle itself)

Heard some people is doing research to defeat top attack mode of such ATGM by using munition loiter UAV by controlling them from MBT.

The basic idea is each MBT would carry a set of boxes to launched munition loiter drones, when the threat detected by radar warning receiver they would launch those drones and attacked those attacking Missiles in their trajectories by using algorithm calculation.

Time reaction is the main problem for such system.

As long as it doesn't have a top-attack mode, Pulat should do its work properly.

They are based on modification of Zaslon aps, and technically aselsan and ukroboronexport still developing pulat for Turkish use. Don't know about the development of the projects now.
Ukraine has given a little of mechanical know-how and nothing so far, and yes the license too.

Aselsan has remarkably improved the seeker performance and the reaction time - electronics - EW resistance (possibly using some integration with the remaining systems on tank) . And it is already a product and in use. (At least should be in use with Turkish M60)

Aselsan on the other hand developing Akkor APS with Tubitak. Ukraine has no contribution on that project and they have already reached a maturity.

Turkey army had real need for such APS system, here is not that important though. Indonesian army need to invest more on the platform itself in which severely lacking, one to replace those AMX 13 and other old stuff, second to form another cavalry brigade and battalion.

Indonesian army priority still to get more number of assault helicopters, helicopters trainer, APC, IFV/FSV, medium tank and fire support weaponry like recoilles rifle, ATGM, UAV and mortar (heavy)

Body armor, helmet, NVG, thermal imaging sensor and so on is already purchased by their yearly budget.
