With so many imported parts its understandable the reluctance to order in large number.

Well in the past Army is well known for their bulk order purchasing for any major weapon system no matter if it is local Made or import, either newly build or Second hand units like AMX 13, V150, Anoa 2, M101, S60, Bell 412, Bo 105, Saracen families and so on.

I don't expect they degraded themselves into Ngeteng culture just like other branches lately especially under Jokowi administration

Even with all the hypes, Esemka is nothing but Timor or Bimantara. That is a fact.

Better buy from another brand with good and proven aftersales. This one only had one service center in boyolali.

Which part of it that is manufactured locally? Aren't they just assembling it here and re-brand it?

Cintai produk dalam negeri. Negeri tiongkok maksudnya?

Better put emphasis on image clarity

Plan for another MBT 50 units.
Do they have time if they wait for Altay or should continue with Leo 2?Leo

Remaining old Leo 2 stocks are likely going to Ukraine. While Altay, once put into FRP, I think the priority is for the Turkish army orders first (250 unit for first batch and 1500 unit total).

If we want Leo, right now there's a running production line for the Norwegian army, maybe we could put another repeat order for the A7 adding to the Norwegian slot.

I don't think we'll order MBT this 2023-2024.

Guys! Norway deal was incredibly expensive. Including the full package, it was around $33/34 millions per unit iirc.

Can Indonesia afford that?

Never said its going to be the Norwegian spec A7. The point is there's a running Leo 2 production line right now.

Leo 2 a7 is super expensive anyway. It doesn't have to be the Norwegian spec.

A lot of members here prefer L44, so how about Leo2A5+++ (A7 with L44) ?
Is it gonna be significantly cheaper?
