Then decades ahead Jokowi decision to open Papua hinterland by ground infrastructure (following SBY piecemeal infrastructure building) had much meaning and greater impact as now our authority forces had greater access to enact law and order in traditional area of those KKB/OPM. The opening of Papua hinterland too causing the movements of people as most of them in search of jobs offered by government or mining corporation and other economy opportunity, this especially Papuan population from coastal areas and other ethnic from outside Papua in which had tendency to acknowledge themselves as Indonesian in which surely would attract clashes against the old order in the hinterland Papua.

I had said before, this clashes would be more and more frequently happened in near future. As KKB/OPM surely would try to preserved the status quo, by hindering the building of infrastructure and communication,Made threat against outsider even against Papuan themselves (mostly who came from coastal areas) and fighting against government forces who trying to build and assert Indonesia authority there.

To put KKB/OPM as terrorist organization had more deeper meaning though. The government had known such organization being to able to deploy a number of fighter is in need Capital and funds. Even more those fighter in jungle actually only acts as propaganda piece tools for their true actor and agents propagandist, in which much more dangerous for Indonesia politically in our foreign diplomacy. We need ISTAR capability + More MOBUD unit+ air cavalry fire support to flank and to lead them to the place that our infantry can annihilate their small group effectively. Definently more cost for this kind of operation. But, nothing we can do. They humiliate our armed forces to much this time.

the french after some time dropped face shield in combat due to its impracticality

the british tested the same system (with more protection) and they find that it really hard to aim and needed to rotate the weapon 90 degree and decided they only to use it mostly on riot control.

The OPM is less of a political orgs and more of a collection of gangs operating under a flag. Think Hell's Angels and then aim lower. Any negotiation with them is a waste of time because while one group may honor a deal the others ones will not.

The only practical way for protecting face & neck is to extend the protection of the plate carrier to the neck (this kind of product already available commercially). While face & eyes protection is to wear impact protection balaclava + ballistic eyewear (also available commercially)
The catch with wearing all those is the heat. If one wearing all those in temperate climate that still bearable, but wearing those at tropical lowland, than you could be risking getting heat stroke
