@JATOSINT , do you can confirmed what kind of weaponery they use ?

Deep in my hart kind of aerial defence without E/Optical or Radar guidance is less to none effective against todays aerial threat (back then to 90s, all Iraqi air defence give no threat to US aerial invasion due to absence of radar guidance and proper coordinations)

Less? Of course
None? Nope

One example: Battle for Karbala/Najaf (2003)

The quantity might differs from each mdia but the items for the Air Force and Navy is still the same. What is interesting this time is the items mentioned for the Army. The article mentioned that Leopard 2 by Rheinmetall to be continued for the Army. Anway are there still used Leopard 2s in the market that can be upgraded by Rheinmetall? Or the MoD is going after for the Leopard 2A7.

The Cavalry doesn't quite satisfied with Harimau afterall, hope they can arrange a deal just like Greece or Spain back then.

Re: Leopard 2, we've already received the full units of Leopard 2 tanks we ordered, haven't we? As far as I know the last shipment was 21 units in 2017 for the final batch.

I ask this because the wording in the screenshot of Tempo article posted by Lembaga Keris is misleading:

Untitled.jpg

Point 1: Where the hell did they got the number of 164 Leopard 2 tanks? We ordered 103 Leopard 2 (61 Leo2 RI + 42 standard Leo2). The rest are some 40 Marder IFVs.

Point 2: When you connect it with the last underlined point below it, it seems like it insinuates that Jokowi stopped the shipment while the last batch has actually arrived in 2017. It's also funny since the article said "no more Leopard 2 shipment to Indonesia" - Well, duh. It's because we haven't put any new order for additional tanks.

Wait, wait... The Harimau is projected to replace their AMX-13 right? It's not even in the same class as Leopard 2, so why do they're not satisfied with the Harimau?

Previously, Windu Paramarta on Facebook said that this tank was designed according to TNI criteria, there was even a requirement of hundreds of points. why the TNI is not satisfied?

Because some of the parameter they set up is not met during the rigorous test back then, that's why the lacking Vigor of Army to bulk purchase them after first LRIP order and let the Companies to Made more adjustment after the order delivery being met in 2022/2023. This mean more research time and effort, thus for the mean time Army would prefer to order more Leopard 2 to fill Kostrad units and more elites units first.

I'd like to know examples of what criteria don't match.

Yet it was the Army (through Pindad) who had set requirement and specs prior to the development and the platform was particularly developed in relation.
Now they are not satisfied with their own requirements?
The project had lasted for 4 years until maturing and yet after maturing has received some updates and modifications after 2019 as per request. They had chance to make a solid requirement for specs, for 5 years at least.

Even FNSS officials had told in several occasions, it was a rare example of development being optimized from scratch according to the requirements and needs of the Indonesian Army. So is it Pindad who didn't interpret those requirements in a right way and let it flow to the FNSS, or Army was lagging behind and didn't set those in a solid way?

Oh, so that's why the news about Allison came out.
They are still "utak-atik".

One can always ask (nicely) to Lady Markel to further reduce (selling out) her country military asset. She will be very happy to divert her military operating budget toward social-welfare program
