ATGM become less often, as the war drag. Tanks still got a place in warfare.

There's an interesting case in the Ukraine war that instead of using tanks for its mainly direct fire function and power, they are hiding and stay out of enemy's ATGM's range and vision.

With the help of drones/copters for surveillance and fire redirection, then tanks are used as indirect fire units. Probably similar to artillery. It's kinda waste.

But of course each and every battlefront has their own different characteristic.

I'm not against tanks, but the doctrin needs to adapt to different modern combat scenario and requirements.

Just for a record, in near future Indonesian Army would likely to adding more MBT as there is plan to create several Armored Brigade Combat Team including one in future capital and dedicated KOSTRAD ABCT, but the system is still at large as there is a lot of lesson and plan in which what are the next MBT the Army would chose.

Abrams latest variant in export market M1A2 SEPV3, K2 Black Panther, LEOPARD 2 A7 and ALTAY is in serious consideration

Isn't K1A2 actually a better option.
More cheap so we could get more, commonality L44 cannon, and proven with Korean hilly terrain?

Well they would go for tier 1 MBT to begin with as the main hammer and for the rest they would use Harimau Medium Tank in large number, especially to replace AMX13 fleets.

The more I see various lethal ATGMs produced around the world, the more it reminds me of the everlasting debate about the necessity of tanks in modern battlefield.
It's much better if you had all the option at hand (tanks included)

If you missing a piece that mean the enemy had one less thing to worry about

Another tank's enemy.

Normally it's difficult to target tanks using artillery, but with drones/UAV for re-targetting or adjusted fire, it's gonna be closer.

Btw, laser-guided artillery would be perfect.

Ha, the PLA is miles ahead compared to any Asian counterpart when it comes to drone corrected artillery. All their artillery battalions came standard with this.

Sabrah and Harimau, too high profile even compared to the already high Harimau. Also we can see the Sabrah are definitely IFV slapped with tank turret, compared to originally designed as a tank platform of harimau. Can't see the detail of their sensor equipment, their tank gun is definitely low recoil gun Elbit system (license variant from L7 LRF) compared to high pressure 105 mm cockerill gun of Harimau

Yeah that's why we choose CT-CV turret as they provide higher elevation and depression Rates, along with computer assisted firing system

The other reason we choose this, the default capability to launch 105 GLATGM Falarick. With range of engagement around five kilometer, able to hit ground target and even some Aerial assets like helicopters
