Kind a weird think to say dont you think???
After what ?
Do you think Russo-ukraine war happend at single night? How many years it's boiled up before explode

What intention does 🇮🇩 must declare war on neighbouring state that have dependency on us ? Land, water, people ? If any war would be happend that Leo 2 in Army inventory must face Chinese T-72's. If there's any war needed surely western countries already divine this State into smaller piece.

then why we have an army in the first place???
Tell me, if you have gun and the adversary also hold gun how much chance you will shot your adversaries without getting shot back ?

I think you might need to rethink your logic.
Worryn't boy, they will bought it. Just pay your share of tax, trust me it help your dream of Weapon come true faster.

Leopard 2 RI
Not quite, it was Revolution MBT.

RI is basically A4 with AMAP from Revolution + FCS. No smoke discharge, RCWS, Laser Warning.

Korean L44 vs L55 pic
Not against, but use what that you have now. 44 is ok, 55 ok too. Just how it will be use. Just hoping if Army want to add MBT's i hope they bought more Leo, so that existing leo can be canibalized or else.

I'll wait here, sip my cofee and pay tax so that army can order mor harimau and get rid of that AMX 13.

yeah i know, it just kind a difficult to find TNI's Leo taken from a good distance and from the side with no cut.
Anyway, we were talking about the dimension.
The case is if it's too long or too wide, it might not fit or hard to fit in the Navy transport ship.

you said TNI's Leo is a Leo 2 A4 with AMAP from Revolution and ext (Leo 2 Custom Revo / Revo downgrade).
so basically it's the same then in terms of dimension when it compared to the Revolution MBT.

So we have to wait until it explode huh??
Chinese T-72's, that is the only potential. not PT90M, not Abrams, not Leo2SG.
Why? because we are not going to mess them up and they wont make a mess with us EVER.

Nice one pak, what a smart way to think

Everybody seem to forget . We are an archipelagic nation . From the ground up our army was modeled to be an Expeditionary one . Easy to move and positioned never meant to be hunkered down or bunkered permanently . Hence all the doctrins and measurement then went come along with it ....

Sure. But how efficient is the logistics management in TNI? Can they keep up with the doctrine to move around?

Just look at Russia, best 2nd armed force in the world (lol) with their shitty logistics management. Only USA who has been tested and proven again & again with their logistics management.

Does TNI even use palletizing system like USA & NATO to make logistics more efficient? Or maybe TNI didn't use it like how Russia did with their shitty logistics?
Read between the line will you bruh .... There is a difference between expectation and realization in this nation we callled +62 . You could name a thousand excuses about corruption and economical hardship and whatsnot . Yet the ideas/doctrines are still persist and to be honest it was neccesitated to support our national cohesiveness . And how would it be financed and realized ?? That would be another ballpark and realms alltogether ...

Why bringing VT5 here?
Did our army consider VT5 too now?
You ask for the Harimau performance no ? I remember @Afif once brought to light that Harimau lacks in protection and firepower to the VT-5/Type 15 in Bangladesh trials .

Maybe @Afif would want to share more about it here ?

According to one member it lacks in protection and mobility to the VT-5.
one of it's selling point is the APS, but as for their passive protection (claimed composite and reactive armor) are kinda debatable.

Indonesian Armed Forces retain and inherited Dutch and US based system of logistic (including legacy of KNIL logistic system) thus they are largely only stockpilling active ingredient and discarded expired ones.

We can see from many article during Armed Forces expedition into far away area of Indonesia own territorial wars' in the past to the present. The Armed Forces retain one of the most capable logistic delivery system (including Kolinlamil, tonnes of cargo aircraft and requisition of merchant marine fleets) in the region and can sustain prolonged operation without sacrifice basic need of the soldier in the field.

When it comes to VT 5 there is a good story to tell.
When first it was revealed in 2016 it was like that,
1674856663096.png

Then it gone through some serious modification and design change based on feedback from extensive testing. So, it became that,
1674857060592.png

However, the final touch was yet to come. which is like that.
1674857282751.png

Finally, it became an excellent and reliable platform with a 1000x HP engine specialized in low oxygen high altitude operation. Also, It is equipped with 3rd generation cooled sensors compare to 2nd gen of VT 4.

Now, when compared to Harimau it has superior mobility as Harmau has 20HP/tonne power/weight ratio with its 711 HP engine, meanwhile VT 5 has 30HP/tonne power/weight ratio in its standard armor configuration and 27HP/tonne in its advanced configuration.

And when it comes to armor...well, even in the standard configuration you will clearly notice that, armor is considerably thicker on VT 5 than Harmau.

Compare it with the 3rd VT 5 photo .

In terms of specification, it is estimated that, VT 5s frontal Armor is around 300mm RHA in standard configuration and equivalent to 500mm RHA or more in advanced configuration. While on the other hand, Harmau has STANAG 4569 level 6 protection in front, which is roughly equivalent to 150mm RHA.

tank nowadays are either "well protected" or "looks well protected", the one that i agree that VT-5 are better protected is definitely their APS, i had this issue "the armor looks thicker" since seeing the japs Type 10 had their side armor turret turns out most of it's are empty space for storage compartment.

but the bangladesh choice on choosing VT-5 are understandable especially with norinco production capability and readiness.

VT 5 armor is ACTUAL RHA in the standard configuration, not composite. So you cant really cheat there.
