They want to refurbished Army M16 into modern looking AR series. It just they want to do it by small batches first

Optic is always on the priority list for Army and they always budgeted for buying in bulks each year nowadays, it just the units on the field doesn't have leeway for spares and maintenance still difficult at Battalion unit level not to mention companies level. Unless it was for emergency call or high profile annual training many units who had received them doesn't show and use their optics at the real field with all the risks. But sure their keep using them for drill and regular training.

The Police look like shopping in the mall, they're imported every brand of vehicle, why don't they just buy it locally for that kind of vehicle? it could rise up our industry, why Jokowi fire Pertamina employee for importing material, why he didn't fire the responsible police for the same reason?

Very soon ...they will taste that bitter meds too eventually . Unfortunately with much of Pindad backlogs piled up . things wouldn't be eased up for a while and some only get " kotaked " to mabes ....

Looking at Wikipedia TNI AD already established 13 mechanized infantry Battalion,

Well with most of them using Anoa APC as TNI AD most staple or basic APC along with M113. There is planning to add more mechanized infantry Battalion, this to provide more firepower at KODAM level and surely there is an expansion of KOSTRAD units especially for third infantry Division who just recently formed.

Hope TNI AD can structured its main assault units organization into something like ABCT and Stryker Combat Team. This will enhance their combat readiness and deployment effectiveness. The downside with all of lacking in infrastructure and weaknesses in logistic issue sure would hamper the Army efforts.

can someone made (or already made) organization chart about our tni ad unit using nato military unit symbol, something like this

tried to make it, but i'm always busy / forget and the information about our unit on the internet differs from one source to another (and some of them are outdated).

also i don't have enough understanding in our military structure outside some specialized unit and kostrad (ie: kodam, korem, etc)

You should first ask whether local industries have the production capacity to quickly fulfilled Polri's needs or not

Depend on what Polri and TNI AD needs in the first place though, Indonesian defense industry had limited choices about true MRAP model (Turangga and P2 kommando is not MRAP per se)

And it seems either Army or Police forces still looking for MRAP model fit for their own requirement as Sanca or Bushmaster is not much satisfying even compared to the old model of South African models

What's the issue with SANCA? I really hope Anoa3 is designed V-Hull and Amfibi, it can function 3 in 1. Apc, MRAP and Amfibi.

for example timoney help design aussie bushmaster, singapore terrex, and taiwan cm-32. while supacat design and build HMT400/600 recon vehicle for british army and other special forces.

The better question is "why should any of those firms even willing to partner with Pindad or any other firms" Furthermore even IF they're willing to do so, does Pindad even have the capacity to fulfilled order on schedule?

Kostrad already esttablish a new combat unit at Brigade level . This unit is not under Division , but under Kostrad Commander . The new unit are embrio of ‘Modular Brigade’ to fight as Heavy Brigade Combat Team . The new unit called “Batalyon Mandala Yudha “ .....

STK itself not doing much of their manufacturing activity inhouse as they are put much of their production by outsourcing abroad. Compared to FNSS or Excalibur (Chezch holding), which had much of the projects on their own factories.
