Actually for all the errors and downs of the KCR, we should continue with it. With continuous improvement over time.

That's how Navies do it. Be it the US Navy in the early 20th century or PLAN in the 21st century.

Steady improvements over basic design through years.

8 ssn for Aus Navy. Well indopac is getting hotter

Yes a certain group of people here (in Indo) did not believe that any high intensity/conventional conflict would occur in the future~

Thus we don't need to modernise our military~
Doesnt matter, whats important is our GFP ranking keeps improving. It's a number game guys, come on.

They won't be able to detect it anyway  🤪
If I'm a NZ PM now, I will call AUKUS leaders and tell em that they can operate nuclear-armed or nuclear-powered submarines in my sea, but don't raise the alarm lol, only me and my inner circle know that their nuclear subs around.

Anything is legal, it is illegal when you get caught.

Thales NS 100 ?
AH 140 does not necessarily mean we will use the same configuration as Type 31.

"The design licence will enable PAL to build two Arrowhead 140 frigates in Indonesia with bespoke design modifications for the Indonesian Navy."

thanks god we didn't go with that unproven 144meter design plan.

The US, China can do with accumulation of knowledge and gathering of technology and absorb the best even from their allies and competitor humbly without regarding their own as best of the best. Even super power technology like US don't mind to order the best from aboard and stimulate their local power by doing so, Constelation class Frigate is one of the proof , there is also Lakota helicopters and so on.

Don't know why with the attitude of some of us, just because we can build our own KCR 60, they regarded them as the best. Though, even the user itself already Made comprehensive studies that's our own design is not much better compared what the Navy get from aboard during seventy decades and ninety decades era. Our KCR 40 is not much even compared to the Korean Made Mandau class that's why they still prefer to use the grandpa hard 😁

first I never denied the the KCR are such a letdown, but that doesn't mean we should 100% give up on the project, steady improvement of the basic design should be pursued, again it's part of learning curves of designing a ship.

basically trials and errors are normal, and even if it fails. It's still a progress.

FPB-57 (Luursen) and Mandau (S.Korea) are not designed by our naval engineers, KCR-60 is. So give em time,

the US goes from this

to this

this is achieved through evolutionary means spanning almost a century, and this is from a 1st world country. Consider Indonesia's lack of contribution in science and arts of warfare in general, we should not be that upset about KCR-60 performance.
