They want to retire a lot of major platform actually and utilize the crews for newly build platform

There is at least 14 Parchim class and five Van Speijk class is in pending retirement program with Parchim having at least 80 crew to manned them and 180 for Van Speijk class. And there is also old major support ships like Teluk Amboina, Teluk Semangka class, Tanjung Kambani and Karang Pilang class also in pending retirement program

Actually Indonesia Navy had a lot of officers and crew to be spared
But they only operated old system, and to operates new system in the new ship will be quite a jump.
At least crews from REM class already operates relatively new and modern technology.
Won't be too gaptek.

I am iterating this again, unless you have training resources like China, 10 major combatant is less likely to be operated in 5 years. It is a cumulative process. Training resouces = active modern major combatants + land based facilities.
You may not orient crew from parchim to a destroyer, i am talking of mission specialists, not people who wipes the floor, cooks the food, run errands.
Training resources should leap before the procurements.
