Let's focused on Frigates, OPV/Corvettes stop playing with mini Boats
The news about it already everywhere.

Yea, its good to have 2 or 3 mature Shipyard that could build Frigate sized Hull (3000 to 7000 tons) but it is kinda interesting to have such small vessel, furthermore if we can spam KRI Golok - like Missile boat.

Flagship contract, always swollen By SOE. It is LITTLE TO NONE chance other private shipyard get major contract like frigate.

No they already put the private sector to build LST and in near future LPD, OPV 90 class even already being done by private companies. There is also work for other support ships need to be done by private company like Oiler Tanker, Frigate tender ship, Ocean going tug boat, Command and control ship, Submarine rescue vessels, Submarine tender ships, Large Ocean going surveilance vessels, Large Hydro oceanography vessels and so on.

I'm more worried about its sea keeping
I think it wouldnt be operated that far. It maybe a little bit off topic, the sea sephard had operate 1 trimaran like Golok class *albeit smaller and went toe to toe with japanese whale fishing vessel at the northern atlantic.

The Sea Shepard is a collection of idiots. I saw their Youtube video when they claim to be operating in Sumatra & Borneo along with their member whose claimed to be ex SF operator of some kind. Suffice to say, looking from their video its more of a bunch of idiots running around in 🇮🇩 plantation ground (which they claim to be wild jungle) Anyway, good riddance to them, although It is very sad to what happen to MV Ady Gil (formerly MV Earthrace) she was a fine boat.

Did you mean deliberately destroyed?

May the hands of those who want to sabotage this project will be the only ones that got burned this time.

This should be the (long overdue) time where our private shipyards and other private defence companies really begin to shine.
Well even after they got "hit" by the fire and shaken by financial cost to cover the lost, somehow & somewhere in between the Tank Boat design emerge. Perhaps what wise man say it true "modal uang bisa hilang, modal pengetahuan & ilmu ngga bisa hilang". We have to thank the Marine as well for providing security after the fire incident.

Sabotage ,always, can be blamed,
But it is more important to train workers/soldiers before working in a composite boat which is not equippet-yet with fire sprinkles.

+Also important to treat composite long enough,so that it doesn't lease some flammable air from its matrix
+Also important to properly ventilate while working in a freshly built, even if it is treated sufficiently, composite hull,
+Especially while installing circuits and working with welds.

KRI Golok - 688
already showed up... View attachment 28416
Same old design but with new materials?
The new design proposed looks very different from Klewang 1.
Its going to be lit
I hope it will not this time, the last time it was lit literally.

I don't think it was sabotaged.

Northern atlantic?
Which ship? they lose 1 trimaran (bald captain) once during collision with Japanese ship, another 1 damaged by rogue wave.

My bad, it was on southern ocean. I forgot it😅.
they lose 1 trimaran
The MV Ady Gyl like trishna_amrta said
I liked to watch their documentary on nat geo few years ago. Their crazy retaliation, when the former capt of that boat "hijcak" to shonan maru 2

with the experience gained in constructing Bintuni class and Tarakan class, hopefully all those private shipyards can be geared up to spam batches of REM type vessels.

I just think LST is a little less exotic stuff to be produce. With a notice some of the Shipyard joined this program also got a problem in completion.

Its still has possibility to build LPD, but again not in near future.
Eventhough the order from BAKAMLA, KKP wich target to get some vessel every years i doubt private owned shipyard is capable to build Flagship frigate before 2024. (Building bakamla patrol vessel is more than enough for me now)

Different ship for different job, just because it don't have top sewaco and less deterrence compared to a Frigate or Destroyer doesn't mean we don't need it, as an archipelagic state we need lots of it. Its have less wah / wow effect but we still need to produce more of it and spread it across 3 fleet.

At least some of them good enough, just blacklist or perma-ban those company that failed.

Different ship for different job,
Not gonna bother with this.

Yes, as you said every stuff got their duty. Talking about LST and LPD surely erchipelagic country need them the most, especially when a country like 🇮🇩 always get yearly nature disaster.

What i mean here, Private shipyard alredy done good with vessel build as LST and Oiler, but to get full capability to do job such as building Flagship vessel its still far away.

The best option we have is to let private shipyard to win the contract to build patrol vessel (90 m, 105 m, corvette sized) for Bakamla and KKP, since they need a lot of boat. From that we can employ Private shipyard to build flagship vessel (module, or fully build)

ust blacklist or perma-ban those company that failed.
Agree, every aspect need to evaluate properly, not only for Formality cause.

I'm aNtEK iSrOiL

because they have the best SPG

and no not the Self-propelled gun kine of SPG.

I feel sorry for our BVP-2 being shoved in as SPAAG instead of its native function as IFV. Hopefully, in the future, the Marinir would have budge allocated for dedicated SPAAG
