it is, vls with unusual number (not multiplied by 8) usually is a single vls with its own missile system, like VL Mica and Sea Venom or Sea Ceptor

No need to be secret secret lah, if Indonesian government decided to go SSN, they should doing it with great fanfare as much as possible with the origin countries (let say the Frenchi) as it would be mean deterrence and relationship at the highest level

And i think Indonesia should cultivated the French anger against those Anglo Saxon cousins to Indonesian benefit, let say to get on several Riauchulo class along with several Baracuda SSN class for a very low interest contract deals to check mate the Aussie. Not that the US can give much voice if such deal happened as Indonesia itself is very much had such wariness against China and had historical feud against them

A dedicated aaw asset is not one of the things you list, it is something horizon class, hobart class, type 45. Better you check the difference too.

Bingo! We should channel those French wrath towards AUS/UK by making us their most strategic partner in Indo-Pacific. Announcing SSN deal for us will mean so much win for them.

8 Cell if it's MK-41. Yes.

AH probably confuses this vessel with Type 26 which has 3 x 8 cell Mk41.
Babcock's design will either come with 16 or 32 VLS if Indonesia can procure Slyver or Mk41, if not then it will be camm / camm-er but again in that case i will not expect 12/12 but 24/24.
Or lastly ExLS, it comes with modules of 3, but costs high. Babcock's design doesn't have any issues with space to opt for ExLS instead of Mk41. It can fit strike length with ease.

That 3x8 MRSAM is morelikely 4x6 camm-er (albatros NG) to be fitted in place of the fore CIWS position.
