$600 million for 1 submarine iirc. I don't even know what kind of 2nd hand submarine with that price.

AH already make some video about it months ago. The MinDef want to use that $600 million for Submarine Rescue vessel instead iirc.

In case you've missed it.

Really, reallocating money for submarime rescue vessel. That contract should be a different case.

I dont know why folks here still eager to keep Masseur Guy and Students post as a milestone.

The question of "what kind of 2nd hand submarine cost us $600m per piece" still hasn't been answered though.

The only one that fits the price is .....sshhhhhh..... the "N" submarine.

(don't attack me🤪)

Our Navy or largely Armed Forces got the backing up of Ministry of Defense to pursue their goals and vision especially within political circle among parties in House of Rep and Ministrial circle , meanwhile Bakamla is not have such priviledge.

Altough they are formally our fifth uniformed services after the trio Army, Navy, Air Force and Police Department, but politically and legally they are not being represented formally within Indonesia higher ups and the involvement of Navy to nurture the Bakamla Made the problem becoming more complex.

To put them under Ministrial background should be the next priority actually or giving them more rights just like the Polri under Presiden direct order not through Menkopolkam.

RDP dengan DPR RI, Bakamla Beberkan Roadmap Penguatan
15 September 2021 Penulis : admin

Jakarta, Senin 13 September 2021 (Bakamla RI/Indonesia Coast Guard) --- Sekretaris Utama Badan Keamanan Laut (Bakamla) RI Laksda TNI S. Irawan, menghadiri Rapat Dengar Pendapat (RDP) dengan Komisi I DPR di Ruang Rapat Komisi I, Lt.2 DPR RRI Gedung Nusantara II, Jl. Jenderal Gatot Subroto, Senayan, Jakarta Pusat, Senin (13/09/2021).

😅😅 The original intention is to order four at one time to build them all in Japan shipyard and then the following order up to four would be built in Indonesia

And since when we would order six in number??

The tweet guy is quite Sly with his choice of words
I know this guy has his own agenda, that's why I only take everything from him as half or quarter truth.

I just take information from them as half truth.
Mean nothing to personally attack one of you guys here.

About that 30FFM Masseur Guy talked, If my brain serve me correctly. The order or deal is to build 4 30FFM overseas. Then the next deal can be done include "K4ry@ 4naK b4nG5a" sticker.
4 hulls to be build overseas just like 30FFM, maybe PAL dry dock already booked for IH.

"N" submarine
And who will sell N sub for barely US$ 600 million ? 🙄

Have we done with AUKUS and SSN problem here? I mean where in earth we got the fund to purchase one SSN ? Akula, Barracuda, Astute, Virginia ? Cmon guys the money spent for 3 SSN can be allocated to buy 8 to 20 SSK. 😐

Unless we want to strike Beijing 😂
Perhaps we should guarantee our civilian savety before pointing a gun to any other country.

Indonesian by design rival ( Malaysia) had been collapse long time ago. Now we were facing a bigger picture with mature and strong background. Thus make Indonesia still less aware to speed up defence and scurity matter compared to the country that have long stand off rifalry.

Of, any how if you think about France Rafale, F 35 still awaiting around the corner

I can't believe you blast my pisstake comment :)

Okay, so going back to the original question, what kind of 2nd hand SSK that cost us $600m a piece? You're ultra insisting on this point and yet you haven't contributed on the possible answer. Give us your best shot.

This thing should fulfill most of the specs stated in the news, it's old yes, but with a proper modernization and refit done by HDW or maybe even those Korean shipyards, it may have a capability close to U-209-1400mod i suppose

Nope, somehow i just want to know how desperately is Indonesian navy to get SSN ?
(Again in the middle of push and pull between France and Australia)

US$ 600 million for second subs ? Well litterally you just can take home brand new Li-po soryu with that money. 2 type 214 still can be bought if Indonesia have fluent diplomat.

Well, me myself didnt beliefe any leak tho. Every deal is guarantee when the Down Payment already payed.

Being the ones in the middle of competing giants really suck. But choosing one side over the other doesn't necessarily mean that things will be better. Some Aussies on Twitter have already barked that ASEAN countries especially Indonesia and Malaysia are indecisive and thus deserve to be stepped over, but aside from China, Australia is one other major power that often disregards our EEZ and territorial waters like what happened when they towed back refugee boats a couple of years back.

China sees the region as its marketplace and its potential battleground. AUKUS sees the region only as their potential battleground. At least that's the impression I got from observing the whole mess.
