but mid WW II the quality of US' officer corps starts to gain if not outclass their IJN counterpart.

Agree that in addition to improve our quantity game, we should also start to intensify our participation in multinational naval exercise to improve the experience and exposure of our sailors and officer corps to modern naval tactic

This is somewhat misleading, Japan's best officer are trained in the US.

Remember Yamamoto?

who could forget Yamamoto. However the performance of USN admirals and officers in some of the early campaign cannot be considered as stellar and even subpar compared to their IJN counterpart

Soldier dont choose enemy's, politican are

Wether it will be lose or win, stratagems are crucial for the outcome in every stand off.

A proverb said, "the winner win first then go to the battle, otherwise the loser go to the battle first and think to win"

It just better for 🇮🇩 to stick with full fledge SSK submarine.

We have plenty of ocean to patrol not only in straits and North java sea. One should remember if 🇮🇩 outer water is an oncean with depth of hundreds meter.

Anyway. Connie start to take a fuss towards who will become next "Panglima", still wait her next move to sale 🇨🇳 products

It will be far better for her and her backers to just shut up, see how things go and then adjust rather than whatever she does right now.

Just playing devil's advocate here.

Since we have plenty of oceans and very large area to cover, doesn't it make more sense to have more number of smaller subs than less number of bigger subs?

In terms of price, two 1000 tons subs probably equals to one Scorpene. So buying five Scorpenes or ten 1000 tons subs?

Can the smaller sub, do a direct trip from Sabang to Merauke in case of emergency ?

Correct, different job for differrent stuff. Big stuff can carry more, meanwhile small stuff can only carry much.

Right now 🇮🇩 in desperately need of SSK, even 12 boat as MEF fufillement is far away from become true.
Not to mention, underwater current in 🇮🇩 is more than enough to swallow nanggala into her grave (unable to recover). Anyway, purchasing Midget submarine rightnow is out of context when the USER try to get some diving capability extension.

which one is she favorited?
I think She stick more in neutral, considering military is power presentator not pure politics.
So i think she didnt care so much about who will be in charge.

Other than that, she keep talking about fighter, subs, and frigate.

perhaps it was meant to be deployed for ALKI I and ALKI II protection, this subs isn't really that small to be honest, not like those iranian or north korean midget subs, more or less they were almost the same size as those swedish HSwMS neptune with much more smaller coning tower.

you'll get the glimpse of it's size.

1000 tons submarine is not a midget submarine.
