Don't know why everytime i seen the blown up BMP 3, i am always related them to our Marine corps ones

The thing is, even if our Marines are using Abrams, I don't think a direct 155 mm artillery hit from above will make things different from that BMP 3. Well, apart from that there might still be a resemblance of a tank, rather than scattered debris like in that video.

blown up BMP 3

Kinda Agree with @FPXAllen , even at direct hit at frontal plate of Leopard 2, 155 mm HE munition still give enough shockwave to decapacitate entire crew. hence, A-10 will done the job by penetrating upper plate which the weakest parts of tank.

speaking about armor loses is Ukraine soil, they totally forgot something about armor employment. Speed, infantry support, artillery barrage, even German at WW2 has aerial support to cover their infantry.
except have significant protection, slow moving tank/immobile tank is as good as target practice.

as considerations, except Leopard 2 RI, all Indonesian armor is a butter to 20 mm AP.

I think Leo2a4 and Harimau still has chance to survive

front plate, Yes.
side, Nope Nope Nope

I hope, if it in battle filed the driver drive it like crazy, or walk together with Leopard 2.

kinda like the NATO when its come to tank to tank battle. they employ shoot and hide constantly to avoid return fire, not a sitting duck like Russian inhereted lesson

I had mixed feeling here, after looking video how BTR 4 fighting

Looking at BTR 4 battlefield performance in Ukraine, they are very decent vehicles with solid performance. It is indeed they had trouble while swimming, in which fatal requirement for the Marine corps. But their ground performance is quite good and had more room to be explored for further revision. And other issue their quality control is Shady and left much question. But if we are license producing them fully in Indonesia such issue should be no more.

This left us to ponder, how to let Brimob Polri to acquire them after the war in Ukraine ended to replace those M8 Greyhound in which already retired without replacement. Or the Air Force kopaskhas units is another good candidate for future user.

Find another 8x8 platform that can do the same thing, Pandur with Ares 30 perhaps?

Let's see...

I'm leaning more towards the Pandur II platform though, given that it's also amphibious and we certainly need to achieve better standardization in all branches of TNI.

What's more, it is arguably more developed since its production line is far better than what was shown a while back regarding BTR-4 production facility in Ukraine. Also, if it's about firepower, we can achieve similar or even better performance than BTR-4 since we also choose 30 mm cannon for ours, not to mention that it still can be upgraded to fit a turret with 105 mm cannon should the need arise.

All in all, if it's about Ukraine, I'm more interested for us to obtain license for their Falarick ATGM. But this is more related for the army's thread than here.

Hopefully they/industrial survive the invasion
Even if their production facility for BTR-4 survives unscathed, of which I'm doubtful, they will still need time to return to their pre-war activities and to upgrade their production line.

solid performance.
what parameter do you take to asses such performance ?

war footage show both well performance and destroyed BTR 4, such vehicle I believe inherited BTR 80 tech with new electronics and weapons. if local police user want to replace something with better equipment, I personally think to purchase from local industry with their specific specification. In other hands, 🇨🇿 steel and suspension for me still the best option that we have, beside, except FSV variant, all Pandur 2 are amphibious vehicle; can performing well both for land and amphibious operations. in future, replacing BTR 50 with Pandur 2 amphibious is an alternative solutions than waiting for LVTP 7 donations from 🇺🇸.

again, I hate when logistic nightmare struct.

pandur 2 installed with turret or RCWS will have much more of it's internal space taken and only can carry few additional soldiers, they're good for IFV role, but i still support if our marine corps buy it.

LVTP or ZAHA in other hand might be a suitable amphibious battle taxi role for our marine corps.

my point is, we'd probably need both of those vehicle. 😁

Well, thats kinda make me confuse tho.
at one side marine have PT 76 and BMP 3 as lets say Tank, and BTR 50 as taxy. when we lets say buy Zaha/Lvtp and Pandu 2 what configurations best to put them all together in field ?

amphibious IFV with UT30MK2 or ATGM canister for fire support (unless those amphib variant of pandur could handle the weight of 90mm or 105mm cannon) , while the zaha or LVTP can employ either 50 cal mg or 40mm AGL.

In fact Indonesia needs to a develop a common series of RCWS / Stabilized gun platform to supply all the needs of the TNI.

The demand is simply huge from all parties of the TNI and this is something as important as other "fancy" projects to form a consortium and force them to work on that.

All the recents conflicts are simply showing this; no situational awareness - no agility -> death is soon.

Those Pandur can act as recon units much like what happened to the US Marine corps do with their LAV, for APC you can use those LVTP, tank use those BMP3F for now and considering to utilized heavy armor capability like MBT for future use.
