Will visit Indonesia soon.
Ours will be dual band radar C and X, or will be like this ship? Just C band.
The one that will be transfered to our navy is Marcantonio Colonna and Giovanni Bande nelle (if im not mistaken), both already in Light + config, already had that Kronos Quad dual band and Syler A50 VLS installed

*sorry, it's not giovanni bande nerre, but ruggerio di laura

Indonesia-India Explore Cooperation in Making Defense and Security Equipment, One of which is an Underwater Surveillance System

Edwin explained, based on information from Director General Pothan, a number of areas identified as having potential in cooperation in the manufacture and procurement of defense and security equipment include sonar systems and electro optical systems, cyber security and underwater surveillance systems, 40 mm single barrel gun systems, explosives and propellant.

"To achieve a healthy and mutually beneficial trade balance between the two countries in defense industry cooperation, Indonesia and India have agreed to explore and collaborate in the manufacture and procurement of defense and security equipment," said Edwin.

Teevra 40 is a modern, Indian-made naval weapon system, that can be used as main or secondary weapon system to support the readiness of Indonesian Navy naval vessel. This weapon system is directly developed from the Sudarshan Close-In Weapon System (CIWS), making it a proven naval gun platform. Teevra 40 is equipped with a 40 mm automatic cannon that can fire a variety of NATO-standard 40mm/L70 ammunition, hence the ease of commonality within Indonesian Navy logistic.

With the range of 11.8 km against surface targets and 3.5 km against aerial targets, the Teevra 40 also has options for 5 different firing modes. Depending on the situation at the time, the Teevra 40 can be fired in single-shot, fully-automatic, 3-round burst, 5-round burst and warning shot modes. The warning shot option allows the automatic cannon to deliver a warning shot, which will land close to the target, but at a safe distance so that it won't cause any damage to the target.

Have we ever test these missiles against targets that is:

  1. Moving
  2. Maneuvering
  3. Defending (actively n passively)
I'm afraid our live firing exercise is not realistic enuf.

Is there any instance in the past where the target was a moving vessel for SINKEX? Just asking, because every time i watched SINKEX from every country, the targets stay still

if we want to do realistic SINKEX, i think it's should be divided into 2 forces, Blue team and Red team, our naval forces are on the Blue team, meanwhile the Red team consist of active and moving target, it could be a multiple barged towed a couple hundreds of meter away from the tug boat or even BLOS Remote controlled ship or on autopilot on certain naval maneuvers.

The start of the story is our submarine asset detected and shadowed unknown multiple targets, reported it to the base and Blue team forces heading to Red teams position and trying to block their advancement.

Suddenly, when Blue team's Naval Air Asset picked up a convoi of Red team in just 100nm away from Blue team's position, the Red team forces able and should fire multiple AShM and a swarm of Kamikaze Drones with dud warheard and skimming againts Blue team. This is where Blue Teams AA missile and CIWS tested. and returned fire with live munition and torpedo.

This kind of Live Sinkex should be done in southwest side of Sumatra island / in southwest of Indian Ocean or maybe on the north/northeast of Maluku and Papua island, where the marine traffic is less and the weather is challenging.

The Navy could've utilized drone boats that operate like what a hostile force would do with the necessary tactics like EMCON, then they could test if the Navy assets could detect those 'RED' in time and test how fast will action be taken.

Back before WW2 (and re-continued after 2014), the U.S. Navy would have their so-called 'fleet problem' to test the U.S. Navy theory in practice against a mock enemy (usually European/Asian navies.

Japan also did the same leading up to WW2, (although I forget the name). But it's very realistic that sometimes resulted in deaths.

Also, another example where I must admit smaller navies are more realistic than ours.

"Konarak was struck “after moving a practice target to its destination and not creating enough distance between itself and the target.”

Target boats exists for decades, and yet i have no idea why Iran has used a manned craft for towing the target.

And training torpedoes exist for a reason. Not all Navies show how often these training torpedoes are used and yes they often used against manned and likely defending (by maneuvering) targets. But why wouldn't one test it via decoys deployed.

Interim submarines still ongoing
To build Scorpene takes 5–7 years. "For that, we must have an interim submarine,"
Said Ali on the sidelines of a seminar on submarines in Jakarta, Tuesday

"It is possible that the choices come from various countries that I have visited,"
I guess could be TKMS u214 or S26 based on the article, both are equipped with AIP
