And don't forget about that japanese offer. So they start to lost their dominance on Navy but (possibly) start to take over the air force?
Even if .... Which is still a big IF ...
Japan manage to seal the deal . All of the primary weaponry ( missille , Torpedo and main guns ) are definitely still the MBDA and oto melara products . While the CIWS gun would be the courtesy of Rheimetal for a while ..

Alman hevas is against anyone except europeans :)
One shouldn't be a fan of systems from single origin. That really looks bad as if he has been 'bribed' to say so.

Japanese are not inclining towards a major update in their design. Add-ons like ciws-decoys-counter measures can be replaced but i really doubt if they will replace CMS and radar-sensor suites.

The Europeans are entrenched deep in Indonesian military procurement. Especially that one Fr*nch company.
Not a single company though, there is a group of people who is always in favor of european systems and they somehow can influence the decisions or make the decisions, regardless of whatever is the other offer.

Wonder what happened to the extensive deal with danish terma for the cms of KCR ? Why not just adapting the same for the OPV.
Turkish CMS (Advent) means Turkish sensors will be present, as much as possible.
Alman is concerned for any system except the ones originating from Europe.
But he should also know most of Turkish systems are up to nato standarts and performs similarly or better than european equilavents.

The Turkish CMS are still in talks, if selected then I assume there are some kickbacks happened.

I mean, there's no reason to have multiple CMS for the Navy.

It is told to be for OPV project, then we can assume , as i remember there are multiple candidates, it is just one of the candidates are in talks for Turkish CMS.

Was RfP announced regarding to the OPV project or just shipyards are preparing their designs within some limits and offering it to the procurement office?

TNI-AL Looking for Colibri Replacement

03 Februari 2021

Puspenerbal EC-120B Colibri helicopter (photo : Landy Roy Panji)
For nearly two decades, the Eurocopter EC-120B Colibri has been serving the Indonesian Navy Aviation (Pusat Penerbangan Angkatan Laut – PUSPENERBAL) in role of rotary wing training.
3 EC-120B were procured to replace the ageing Aerospatialle SA. 313 Allouette 2 helicopters. They were part of Skuadron 200 (RON 200) at LANUDAL Juanda near Surabaya.
As PUSPENERBAL continues to be modernised, it is about time that the Colibri are to be replaced.
Having said that, it is believed that after many years of using French made helicopters for such role, the Indonesian Navy is now looking at other types of helicopters as potential successor to the Colibri.
The Bell 505 Jet Ranger has been selected by Japanese Coast Guard (JCG) as successor to its Bell 206 Jet Ranger helicopters in primary training role. On the other hand, another Bell 206 operator in Japan, the Japanese Maritime Self Defence Force (JMSDF) is using Airbus Helicopters TH-135 helicopters instead.
Riding on the success of its UH-72 Lakota which also served as trainers for the US Army and with the US Navy Test Pilot School (USNTPS), Airbus Helicopters has offered its TH-135 to the US Navy as part of the TH-X program. Apparently, this has been won by Leonardo TH-73.
The TH-73A is based on the A-119 Koala platform. The A-119 is essentially a variant from the popular A-109 helicopters.
The Royal Australian Navy (RAN) had once operate 3 A-109 for advanced pilot training after naval aviators graduated from the locally assembled AS-350 Squirrel helicopters. The AS-350 has been replaced by EC-135 while the A-109 has been replaced by Bell 427 helicopters.

in my opinion this has "dana komando" written all over it. if you are going to purchase different platform from different country or shipyard that is fine, but for God's sake keep the sensor, weaponry and engine system standardized.

From what I know the shipyards are only offering hull design and general weapons specs, while the Navy only submitting requirements, while the CMS, Radar or any other stuff is decided by the MoD.

Turkish Advent or Netherland Tacticos, their CMS can working in almost same line and construction type of force power in pararel cms we already had. There is almost no problem for them to actually offering their solution as they both working in STANAG NATO accordance. I am not say they are have the same capability and logistic units issue, but there is if Indonesia chose Havelsan ADVENT based solution, they are open architecture, working in link 11 or Link 16 or other link system and too they are can using Thales Smart S mk2 radar or TRD Hensholdt based ones. In all Turkish based solution is quite solid to me in my opinion.

But the question will back again to "wani Piro" question for TNI AL to ask Havelsan to fine tuning the overall of Combat Management system of those OPV so they can working seamlessly with overall fleets of Indonesian Navy (at least with our modern Frigates and Corvettes fleets) as i said before TNI AL actually quite screwed in this regard and with the half assed they do their homework or jobs so far i don't give much hope in this regard ....

To me, Netherland France, Turkish or German Danish solution is all solid in any cases as they all adhere NATO STANAG regulation to all of their solution and Indonesia actually a follower in this regard. The question should be throwing back to the Indonesian Navy ever changing requirement and half assed assessment and supervision of the projects from MoD along with the stingy attitude Indonesian government had.....
