Do you guys think it will be much wiser for navy to decommission 401 (cakra) after this incident ?

Because of the age and it seem like both class doesn't have escape seat capability too.
I guess there is no problem for the navy to operate 3 submarine for several years and waiting for new sub.
Let them operate it for sometimes but put restrictions on it like only operate in shallow sea (java sea, Malacca strait, natuna sea, etc)

We don't even know what caused the incident yet people start blaming age, budget, TNI/Navy leadership, etc, etc~

The ability to mate the submarine with dsrv
IMO basically, any submarine can be conected with dsrv, there are no matter if one are made by germany, usa, brits, or even china, they all are compatible with dsrv, because dsrv is made for generally compatible

we need to understand the way dsrv works,

Currently that stuff only carried by KRI Rengat and Rupat.

The question is, could this stuff scan in the 500 m + sea bed ? Am asking about the cabability of ours arsenal rightnow.

Normally this SIDE scan Sonar user for minehunting.
Side scan sonars are used to create sea-bed maps.
They help to identify shadows, which indicates profile of the object.

Can we even determine it thou?
Just look at ARA San Juan case, no conclusions up until now.

Anyway, Do our military even ever publish their incident investigation publicly?

Just like two air force's T50 crash or BAE Hawk crash, I never hear or read any investigation result from them. They are not like KNKT who obliged to publish their findings to public.

Argentinian Govt has published their report on San Juan if I'm not mistaken

Differential pressure principle?
its actually well explained in the video, dsrv is literally a mini submarine, when she intact with the other sub, she balance her own pressure with the sub she aimed

i dont need to explain the science of it, i just want to answer, wether the nanggala able to "mate" with dsrv or not

It will be faster if Australia also think the same

How should they act fast if Indonesia is not providing a ship compatible to DSRV?
I mean, they should have looked for the nearest commercial ships possibly capable of such operations (ROV deployment, deep sea operations etc) and re-direct them to the nearest port which a DSRV can be relocated and request it from a 3rd party.

It's not right to point the blame on the age of the ship.

Just remember the RSN still operates 2 ex-Swedish sub from the 60s.

We don't have any clue whatsoever on what's going on down there with the ship.

Or a deep sea drilling ship(oil, gas)?
