DSME 1400 = improved Cang Bogo =Type 209/1200 + Korean MLU in 2000s, built by DSME, which is operated by ROKN nearly for 30 year.

As i mentioned before, if you look for submarine go to the country that build and employ submarine in WW 2.

Not to mention both Japan and german are leading in SSK industries.

These guys definitely have a lot of battle proven experience in building and operating subs, including operating subs in South East Asia region

Just look at that, they guestimate the target AoB and speed just by looking at it. That is a lot of battle experience

welp, after nanggala incident there's some of people in Indonesia (include the politician) who already had a view that Korean stuff is sh#t and we should never buy from them anymore even though we are the one who mostly at fault.

so i already expect that some alutsista purchase from korea would get some opposition especially form those who bark first without knowing the context.

really hate this tendency to blame other people for one's own mistakes. Nanggala is only one of several mishaps that cause the navy to lose ships, only this time 53 souls were lost. If they really want to make an improvement, they should start to look down into the navy itself, find the root cause and rectify it once and for all.

And if they really want to use that logic, why don't they try blaming ze German, they're the one who made Nanggala

well I believe if they stop allocating the majority of their funding to pay salary and benefits (i.e. reducing personnel) and stop buying fancy operational cars, and no "magical" cuts occur to their funding, perhaps they can find the money to put RCWS on those BTRs

Since the sailor must report this to the OOW when doing lookout watch, I think every sailor how to do it.
If you want to know the distance to the object you must know your height of your eye distance to the horizon first. 9 feet height of your eye above the surface water is equal to 3. 51 Nautical Miles. For the speed you only need to compare your speed to her and then estimate how far the actual distance get change and then you can make assumptions by using your speed as standard.

Actually with enough practice & experience one can reasonably deduce the target AoB (Angle on the Bow) and speed, just by using passive optic. Its take plenty of practice though.

And what other method there is to quickly dive Unless your referring that TNI-AL spend most of their patrol on the surface than that is true. In fact the practice has always been to post the diving schedule for everyone onboard to see (penting sekali untuk perhitungan uang tunjangan)
