PC-40 is more than enough for this type of small patrol boats . If we're really into buying used foreign patrol boat, we should look at Australia's Armidale class, which will be decommissioned soon. While at the same time we could decommission our own Fasharkan PC-36 boats and ex RAN attack class boats which is old already.

Whats wrong with world class navy jargon? It means TNI AL want to become professional, good doctrine & strategy, good harwat, having advance and modern equipments etc they want to have a standard like those country with better standard than ours right now, its ok but spewing something like "Blue Water Navy"? Ngimpi disiang bolong at least for several decades ahead.

i would rule out fishing net from the potential factors. Maintenance is definitely a major factor

I really like how newsmaker quote from an "unknown source" to express their opinions strongly, now, i may even doubt if global times has such a part on the article; i am going to look for that. To be honest i don't trust any newsmaker nowadays.

Have scanned through global times on all nanggala related news and couldnt find any part as claimed. If anyone does, i will be pleased to be informed.

Checked both chinese and english versions of the global times, unfortunately i couldn't find any of the claims.

Nonetheless, i don't imply China wouldnt do that, in fact like any other navy which possibly may come to the region, they will collect as much as possible data to process later. (Such as ship's acoustic, IR, radar, RF signatures, anything related to the sea, bathymetry, temp-salinity whatever available to be recorded)
